Danielsville, will have early
bird registration March 29
for its upcoming children’s
camp. The camp will be
open to children who have
completed kindergarten
through sixth grade, orga
nizers said. During the week
of May 24-29, the church
will have a sleep-away camp
at the North East Georgia
Christian Camp. The early
bird cost is $89, which
includes lodging, meals,
transportation, t-shirt and
any other activities. After
March 29, registration will
be $99. A discount is avail
able for families who reg
ister more than one child.

•The Ladies Prayer
Group meets at the Ila
Restaurant at 8 a.m. every
fourth Sunday. All ladies are
invited to attend for “good
food, fellowship and devo

•The Gospel Tabernacle,
Carlton, will have Little
Roy Lewis, Lizzy Long and
Friends in a free concert
on March 24 at 7 p.m. A

•There will be a Relay
for Life benefit singing at
Roger’s Baptist Church
Saturday, March 21, at
6:30 p.m., featuring The
Relations. The benefit will
be hosted by the Rogers
Ramblers Family and
Friends Relay Team. A

for the American Cancer
Society, organizers said. The
church is located off Neese-

•Shiloh Baptist Church
will hold spring revival ser
vices Sunday, March 22,
through Wednesday, March

County Community Park

inflatables, food, yard sales,
community booths, etc.,
organizers said.

table or $5 if you bring
your own table, organizers

will also be a bake sale. The
money raised will be used
to pave the church park
ing lot, church officials said.

•There will be a gospel
talent show to benefit the
American Cancer Society
on Saturday, March 21, at 3
p.m. at Cornerstone Baptist
Church, 167 Dawkins Road,
in Royston. (Dawkins Road
is directly across from the
Bi-Lo Shopping Center.)
“Calling individuals,
church choirs, praise bands
and acts that are pleasing to
the Lord to participate in this
fundraiser for vital cancer
research,” organizers said.
In addition to an assortment
of talent, there will also be
the first annual “Preacher
Cook-Off.” Organizers say
“plan now to come enjoy
great food, an assortment
of baked goods and spe
cialties from surrounding
churches.”
“We have made much
progress in the fight against
cancer, but open hearts and
open wallets are needed to
assure that cancer will not
beat us,” organizers said. “If
you are unable to join us,
donations are gladly accept
ed. One hundred percent of
the funds will go directly to
cancer research.”

ministry all about prayer,

minister to women in the
local church, but to reach
out to women in the com
munity who are less fortu
nate by helping with their
physical needs,” organiz
ers said. Every attendee is
asked to bring a non-per
ishable item to be included
in bags that will be given
to women who are receiv
ing Temporary Assistance
for Needy Families (TANF)
through DFACS. Bibles will
be supplied by Encouraging
Today’s Women, organizers
said.
