8 a.m. every fourth Sunday.

Erastus Christian Church, in
partnership with the Food Bank
of Northeast Georgia, will give
food to those in need Tuesday,
April 21, at 4 p.m. at Freedom
Church of God, 3428 Neese
Commerce Road, Commerce,
GA 30530. Residents of any
county that meet income eligi
bility requirements can partici
pate. The event is first-come,
first-served and will be held rain

•Historic Mt. Zion Church of
Danielsville is moving, accord
ing to church leaders. Their new
location is in downtown Royston
on Tony Jones Street.Their first
service is planned for Sunday,
April 19. Everyone is welcome,

•The final working and plan
ning meeting for the Ministerial
Senior Banquet for high school
seniors will be Sunday, April 19,
at 2:30 p.m. at Friendship Baptist
Church. The second planning
meeting for the banquet was held
April 5, with 13 people in atten
dance representing five church
es, organizers said. “We need
more workers so we encourage
churches to send two workers
from their church to help present
this banquet,” organizers said.
This year’s banquet will be
held April 27 at 6 p.m. in the
MCHS cafeteria. The banquet
will be a nice dinner followed
by a music program, with a spe
cial message presented, and a
special gift for each MCHS
senior to take home, organiz
ers said. Letters were mailed to
each church seeking participa
tion, which includes workers and
contributions of $175 if possible,
but all contributions will be help
ful and are needed, organizers
said. Contributions should be
mailed to the Madison County
Ministerial Senior Banquet, in

•Mt Zion Baptist Church
will celebrate its 65th homecom
ing and old-fashion day Sunday,
April 19, beginning at 11 a.m.
Brother Mark Wheeler will be
the featured speaker and the
Marksmen will sing. “Come
dressed old fashioned, if pos
sible,” church leaders said. The
church is located at 1459 Jot-Em-
Down Road, off Hwy 98 between

•Trinity Baptist Church,
Danielsville, continues to take
registration for its Kids Camp,
which will be held May 24-May
28 at the Northeast Georgia
Christian Camp. Children who
have completed kindergarten
through sixth grade are eligible
to participate. The cost is $99,
which includes lodging, meals,
transportation, a T-shirt, and any
other activities. Families with
multiple children are eligible
for a discounted registration fee.
The deadline to register is April

•The Ba Men’s Fellowship
will meet at Sunday, April 19,
at 8 a.m. at the Ila Restaurant in
Ila for breakfast and fellowship.
The speaker this month will be
Jay Baskins from Lavonia. He
is a member of Poplar Springs
Baptist Church and teaches at
Franklin County Middle School.
He also serves as a fireman with
the Lavonia Fire Department.
The Ila Men’s Fellowship is non-
denominational and meets every
third Sunday at the restaurant.
All men in the community are
invited to attend, organizers said.
•Fourgiven, a Southern Gospel
quartet from Madison County,
will be in concert Sunday, April
19, at Lighthouse Evangelical

Relay for Life team will spon
sor a golf tournament Saturday,

ment. The price covers 18 holes
of golf, golf cart, great hole in
one prizes, lunch, and door priz

•Jones Chapel UMC
Preschool is now accepting
applications for the three and
four year old preschool pro
gram at the church. The pre
school begins in September and
is held on Tuesday, Wednesday,
and Thursday from 9 a.m. to
noon. This is the fourth year of
the preschool, which is taught
by certified, experienced teach
ers, leaders said. Applications
are available online at the Jones
Chapel web page or avail
able at the church or by mail.
