Serina Jackson Long. She was

a retired nurse, and owned
a cleaning business. Mrs.
Bramlett was preceded in
death by a son, Monty Perry;
and brother, Ray Long.

at his residence, following an
extended illness.
Born on July 1, 1949, in
Greenville, S.C., he was the
son of William Brittle and

of Gainesville, and the late
Sara Rosenbaum Brittle. He
was employed by Wilheit
Packaging for 14 years
and was a member of Lula
Worship Canter. Mr. Brittle
was preceded in death by

Greenway Powell. She attend
ed the New Pentecost United
Methodist Church, and retired
from Athens Regional Medical
Center in Athens, where she
was a L.P. Nurse. Mrs. Brown
was preceded in death by her
husband, Grady Lee Brown.
Survivors include sons and
daughters-in-law, Michael
and Brenda Brown, Lithonia,
Ed and Jean Brown, Lilburn,
Wayne and Debbie Brown,
Leesburg, and Grady and Kim
Brown, Panama City, Fla.;
nine grandchildren; and 12
great-grandchildren.

held Tuesday, April 28, at

the Revs. Billy Pittman and
Mike McLemore officiating.

on Wednesday, April 29, at
Brownwood Cemetery in
Sandersville.

She was a homemaker, a
native of Dade County, Fla.,
and lived most of her life in
southern Florida.

Baptist Church. Mr. Coker

Scarborough Code. She was a
homemaker, a member of the
Bethel M Baptist Church, and
also attended David’s Home
Holiness Church. Mrs. Dalton
was preceded in death by her
husband, Joseph John Dalton;
and a brother, Paul Joe Code.
Survivors include a neph
ew and wife, Roger and
Sally Code, Comer; and a
sister, Vonnie Sue Lunsford,
Royston.

service, and
was a veter

served in
the United States Army dur
ing World War II. Mr. Dowdy
was preceded in death by a
brother, Lyndon Dowdy; and
sister, Annette Smith. He was
a loving father, husband, and
loyal friend to his family and
friends loved ones stated.
Survivors include his

GAINESVILLE
Gertrude Bishop Flanagan,
81, died Saturday, April 25,
2009, at her residence follow
ing an extended illness.
Born on December 14,
1927, she was the daughter
of the late W.T. and Fairlena
Wilson Bishop. She worked
for 37 years and retired from
Chicopee. She was employed
as a loom filter for Chicopee
and was the first and only
woman to ever hold that
position. She was a charter
member of South Hall Baptist
Church, where she served
as treasurer and was active
in every field of her church.
Mrs. Flanagan was preceded
in death by a son, Bradley Lee
Norris; and grandson, Scotty
Norris. She was an avid deer
and turkey hunter, and loved
fishing and camping with her
family, loved ones stated.
Survivors include her hus
band of 35 wonderful years,
Frank Falnagan; daugh
ter, Paulette Turk; sons and
daughter-in-law, the Rev.
Wayne Norris and Debbie
Norris, Jefferson, and Ricky

many years. Mr. Hall was
