Emory Loggins
GAINESVILLE
Emory Kimsey Loggins, 69,
died Wednesday, July 29,
2009, at Northeast Georgia
Medical Center, following
an extended illness.
Born on January 23, 1940,
in Hull, he was the son of
the late John K. and Ora
Haynes Loggins. He worked
at SCM for several years and
he and his brother, Drewery,
owned and
operated
a truck
washing
business.
He later
retired as
a barber at
Thompson
Court
Barber Shop. Mr. Loggins
was preceded in death by
his first wife, Linda Holland
Loggins; brother, Wiley
Cohen Loggins; and sister,
Joyce Loggins Worley. He
loved farming and was a
member of Pleasant Hill
Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife,

Meeks, 85, died Monday,
August 3, 2009, at her resi
dence following an extend
ed illness.
Born on June 12, 1924,
in Greenville, Tenn., she
was the daughter of the
late Cephus and Rosabelle
Crumley. She was a home
maker and a member of
Chicopee Baptist Church.
Mrs. Meeks was preceded
in death by her husband,
William Meeks.
Survivors include daugh

and Wilma Armstrong,
Summerville, S.C.; a son,
Kenneth Meeks, Indiana;
eight grandchildren; and 17

Lreeman Elliott. She was a

Church and a member of the
Eastern Star. Mrs. Moe was
preceded in death by her
husband, Robert V. Moe.

and Josie Roberts Pierce.
He retired from Chicopee
Mill as a loom fixer and was
a charter member and dea
con of Faith Baptist Church.
Mr. Pierce was preceded in
death by a sister, Nettie Ivie;
and brother, Bennie Pierce.
Survivors include sons and

Sherrelyn Pierce and Darrell
Pierce, all of Gainesville;

States Army veteran.

The body was cremated

will be held at a later date.

Martin Still, 89, died Friday,
July 31, 2009.
Born in Walton County,
he was the son of the late
Jess and Sarah Elizabeth
Thornton Still. A member
of Bethel Baptist Church,
he was a deacon for over
50 years. He
was in the
United States
Army serving
in World War II, where he
achieved a bronze medal
and four battle stars fighting
in the European, African and
Middle Eastern Theater. Mr.
Still retired from Barrow
County School System as a
bus driver and was a chick
en farmer.
Survivors include his
wife, Hazel McDaniel Still,
Bethlehem; daughter, Linda
Wilkins, Bethlehem; grand
son, Mike Wilkins, Social
Circle; great-grandchildren,
Emily and Luke Wilkins;

superintendent of welfare

Jefferson. Mrs. Stovall was
preceded in death by her
husband, Dr. James Thomas
Stovall; sister, Catherine
Cox Chew; and brothers,
Nathan and James Cox.
Survivors include a
daughter and son-in-
law, Julia S. and Robert
Howard, Woodruff, S.C.;
son and daughter-in-law,
