•Jones Chapel UMC
Preschool will host an open

“Preschool students and their
families are invited to join us
for a time of fellowship, a tour
of the facilities, and an oppor
tunity to learn more about
our program," officials said.
“There are a limited num
ber of spaces still available
for this school year.” Anyone
interested in finding out more
about the program is invit
ed to join them for this spe
cial event, organizers added.
Preschool classes will begin
Sept. 8 and meet on Tuesdays,
Wednesdays, and Thursdays
from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. The
preschool offers classes for
three and four year olds under
the instruction of two certified
teachers. This program pro
vides students with the skills
needed for kindergarten in a
nurturing Christian environ

homecoming services Sunday,

“Fourgiven" will perform

from 11 a.m.-noon. Lunch
will follow in the fellowship
hall. Everyone is welcome,
church leaders said. Revival
services at Vineyard's Creek
will be held Monday, Aug. 17,
through Wednesday, Aug. 19,
at 7 p.m. each evening with
the Rev. John McKnight serv
ing as guest speaker.
•Colbert Grove Baptist
Church will celebrate home
coming Sunday, Aug. 22,
beginning at 11 a.m. Rev. Roy
L. Thomas and Waggoner’s
Grove Baptist Church will
conduct the 3 p.m. service.
Dinner will be served between

its revival service each Sunday

its annual homecoming ser

Baptist Church will have
fifth Sunday services at 8
a.m., Sunday, Aug. 30. All
fifth Sunday services from
now on will begin at 8 a.m.,

•Jones Chapel United
Methodist Family Life
Center will hold an auction/
sale of baked goods, canned
foods and crafts Sunday, Aug.
30, at 7 p.m. The activity
is sponsored by the United
Methodist Women of the
church and proceeds will go
toward furthering mission
work locally, nationally and
worldwide, organizers said.

Monday through Wednesday.

•Athens Christian
Women’s Connection will
meet on Thursday, Aug. 27, at
9:45 a.m. for brunch at Shops
at South Athens Trumps,

and speaker, Carol Frey from
Norcross, shares “how to
extend a perfect welcome in
a not so perfect home.” Also,
featured will be local musical
talent, free nursery for babies
and young children, and

Inc. has announced its menus
for August. The “signature
box” ($30) includes ribeye
steaks, chicken breasts, bone
less center cut pork chops,
macaroni and beef entree,

frozen com, frozen baby lima
beans, iceberg lettuce, sweet
potatoes, pork and beans, rice,
