MGHS homecoming court
COLLINS PLACES NINTH
IN TRACTOR EVENT
Madison County High School FFA member Jacob Collins
placed ninth in the Area II FFA Agricultural Tractor
and Machinery Operations and Maintenance Career
Development Event in Homer Sept. 17. There were a
total of 30 FFA members from Area II competing in the
CDE. The event allows students to demonstrate the skills
necessary to safely and efficiently operate a tractor.
Jacob Collins, a junior at MCHS, is the son of Kristy and
Rusty Collins of Hull.

at half-time. The homecoming dance will be held Sept. 26 from 8:30 to 11:30 pm at MCHS gym, with the crowning

Free developmental
screening offered for
Madison Co. children
A free developmental screening will be
offered for Madison County children Tuesday,
Oct. 20, at Danielsville Elementary School.
The screening is for children ages 6 months
to 5 years and will test motor, speech and
language, vision and hearing.
Those whose last names begin with A-I
should come between 4 and 5 p.m. Those with
last names beginning with J-R should come
between 5 and 6 p.m. and those with last names
beginning with S-Z should visit between 6 and
7 p.m. However, you may come at another time
between 4-7 p.m. if your assigned time is not
convenient.
Refreshments will be provided. There will be
activities for siblings.
"If you are curious about your child’s
developmental progress, or if you suspect
your child may be having developmental
delays, please stop by for this free screening at
Danielsville Elementary," organizers said.

plans reunion
The Madison County High School class of
1964 will hold its 45th class reunion at Camp
Kiwanis at 6 p.m. Oct. 10. Class members
who have not been contacted may call Spratt
