Rotary Club constructs ramp for Thomasons
ROTARY CONSTRUCTS RAMP FOR THOMASONS
The Rotary Club of Madison County recently constructed a handicapped ramp for Lance Thomason, 91, and his wife
Lillian, 87. They live in the house they built in 1945, but it was getting difficult for them to climb the steps to the porch
since Lance had recently fallen and broke some ribs, and Lillian has to use a walker to get around. Their friend, Becky
Hutchins contacted the Rotary Club and requested its help in building a 5x5 deck and an 18-foot ramp to help them. They
donated $200 dollars toward the ramp materials. Workers on the ramp included Roy Gandy, Jack Chandler, Bob Anderson,
Jerry Coutant, Pat Quinn, Jerry Bond, Ed Brown, Johnny Bond and Artry Bishop.
