store robbed
A lone gunman reportedly robbed the Danielsville Comer
Store on General Daniel Avenue North in Danielsville about
11 p.m. Saturday night.
According to the incident report, a female clerk was alone
in the store, preparing to close up, when a white male wear
ing “Real tree” type camo pants and zip up jacket, a camo
mask and black gloves entered the store. The clerk told
deputies she was not at the register at the time but was at a
cooler and when she saw the man, he was already behind
the counter at the cash register. The key, she reported, was
in the register as she was about to close up. The man alleg
edly pointed a short, blue barrel revolver at her and told her
to “get on the ground.” He told her to “crawl to the back of
the store or he would kill her.” The suspect then allegedly
opened the register and took a stack of cash, as well as more
than $1,000 worth of phone cards, and then left on foot.
When the clerk heard the door chime as the man left, she
used her cell phone to call 911.
