HULL SANFORD’S “PE” AWARD WINNERS
Hull Sanford Elementary School recently awarded the
following students with a PE dog tag for the month of
November: Ethan Wilkinson, Caroline Beach, liana Drake,

COMER STUDENTS DRESS
AS BOOK CHARACTERS
Students at Comer Elementary School enjoyed dressing
as their favorite book characters Oct. 29. “We had lots of
fun celebrating our love of books with Pippi Longstocking,
Huck Finn, the Very Hungry Caterpillar, Cruella DeVille and
even the Library Dragon,” teachers said. Pictured is Jamie
Patterson dressed as Max from “Where the Wild Things
Are.”

Development Event allows
students to develop leader
ship skills by participating
in public speaking activities
and by stimulating inter
est in leadership and citi
zenship. Participants must
recite the FFA Creed from
memory and answer ques
tions from the judges indicat
ing familiarity with the sub
ject and the ability to think
quickly. Participants are
judged on voice, stage pres
ence, power of expression,
general effect and response
to questions. Jones, a fresh
man, is the son of Joe and
Cindy Jones of Ila. Trisha
Lastly is Freshman Academy
FFA advisor. The FFA Creed
Career Development Event
is sponsored by the Georgia
FFA Foundation.
HIGH SCHOOLERS SING AT DISTRICT HONOR CHORUS EVENT
Madison County High Schoolers recently sang at the Georgia Music Educators
Association District 9 Honor Chorus Event Nov. 20-21 at Brenau University in
Gainesville. “Students participated in intense rehearsals with professional conduc
tors to present a beautiful concert which culminated the exciting musical weekend,”
organizers said. The students were accompanied on the trip by MCHS Choral Director,
Shirley Dillard, MCMS Choral Director, Franleata Sorrells-Blackmon, and parent chap
erone, Patti Dobbs. Dillard also served as organizer for the Senior Women’s Chorus
at the event. MCHS students pictured are: (bottom row, L-R) Devon Kitchens, Karlie

MIDDLE SCHOOLERS SING AT DISTRICT
HONOR CHORUS EVENT
Madison County Middle Schoolers recently sang at the
Georgia Music Educators Association District 9 Honor
Choms Event Nov. 20-21 at Brenau University in Gainesville.
