gentlemen who are mentioned in
connection with this proposed
new business are Messrs. Jas.
McNatt and E. T. Mcßryde of
Ailey and Mr. W. O. Donovan of
this city.
A deal was consummated Mon
day whereby these gentlemen
are now owners of a lot fronting
42 feet on the east side of Mcln
toah-pt and runnning back 90 feet
the lot being located near the
First National Bank building. It
is announced that they will pro
ceed at once with the erection of
a two-story brick building to cov
er thq entire lot, and that fcs soon
as the building is completed a
general supply store is to be lo
cated there. -€)ur information

of Chelsea, Ga., lost his life in a
tire which destroyed his store

of a pupil a lady teacher of Lau
rens county was acquitted, and
the prosecutor, the father of the
child who had been punished,
was adjudged guilty of malicious
prosecution and required to pay
the costs, which amounted to
about twenty dollars.

Savannah delivered an address
