The Grand Raffle.—The committee to whom was entrusted the disposition of the Sabre Club furniture, fixtures, &c., have decided to have a grand raflle, each article being a prize, to be numbered ac cording to value. There will be twenty prizes, and one hundred and ten chances at $2.00 each, by which liberal arrange ment it will be seen that every one who invests in the scheme will stand quite a good showing for a prize, as there is a prizo to every five or six persons, and none of the prizes are worth*less than $3.00. It should also be borne in mind that this is no speculation on the part of the Sabre Club, as a resolution was offered at the final meeting, and unanimously carried, that after paying the outstanding debts of the club, the balance on hand should be turned over to the Ladies’ Memorial As sociation of this city, and it is confidently expected that the committee will be able to turn over at least one hundred dollars to the ladies. “Dear me! how hearty tired I am of this mourning!” said a fashionable lady to her maid. “Jane, who is it I am in mourning for?” ‘THE BEST SELECTED STOCK OF Carpets, Oil Cloths, am and—- WINDOW FURNISHING, EYE it OFFERED IX THIS CITY, AND AT VERY LOW FIGURES. octT-Gm LATIIROP & CO. rjy XUGE XT , 1) LA lei; in the best op ALES, WINES, LIQUORS AND SEGARS, Cor.
