Of course Athens needs a record

The Macon Telegraph is putting

it is doing so from a fearless and

There is less drunkenness in Ath

earth. The prohibition law is nior
nearly carried out, and we are prqud
of it.
The present legislature has only
a few more days to draw their per

thing of importance that has been
accomplished.
Trade at home. This is intended

The Chamber of Commerce is a
splendid institution, and our busi
ness men, some of them, had better
join it and help push Athens, and
not tind so much fault. See?
The legislature wants to put a
heavy tax on all soft drinks. ' We
expect to hear yet that some fellow
will introduce a bill to bottle up
the air and tax you five mills for
breathing.
The pavement of Jackson street,
which is now b&ng done, is one of
Athens’ most needed improvement*
and the mayor ami council are to
be congratulated, as well as the
people.
The Wrights have made a suc
