The BARB, September 1,1977 - Page 7
I have been away
from my typewriter for
some time now, due to an
accident I had. I always
thought that bicycles
were a safe means of
transportation, but now I
know better! I will not go
into details, I am just
thankful that I am able to
again join the BARB and
my friends out there in
Reader Land!
As recently announced
in the pages of this
publication, K.R.
Enterprises has gone out
of business. I was very
saddened by this news, as
they were one of the few
really honest and reliable
dealers around. It only
proves the old adage:
“The good die young, but
the evil live on and on and
on and on...” Here was a
company who always
tried to be fair with the
public and they are put
out of business. Mean
while the many (too
many) companies who
are out to rip—Off
everyone, live on and
grow fatter and richer off
you and me! Where is the
justice in this world? I
Dale’s
World
have always tried to turn
you on to the really good
dealers, those that I
personally knew were
reliable and I asked you to
help me by writing to me
telling me your ex
periences with rip—offs
and the good guys. I must
admit the response was
not as good as in the days I
was writing for the
“straight” papers and I
have always wondered
why? Am I the only one
who cares about my
brothers and sisters
enough to want to warn
them about rip—offs,
etc.?
As a footnote to the article
I wrote in vol. 4, no. 5 titled
VD: Myths and Facts,
recently I was contacted
by the local health
department, saying that
someone with whom I had
sexual relations was
being treated for syphillis
and that they had given
my name as a recent
contact. In the past I
remember people who felt
that to be turned in was
something terrible and
very vicious. I hope that
the times and people have
changed in their at
Good Guys vs: The Rip-offs
titudes, because anyone
who turns your name in is
really doing you a favor.
As it turned out I was
“clean,”but I wish I knew
who it was who thought
enough of me to warn
me- for this person is a
real friend.

isn’t the only one!)
Paulette, Eric & Hal,
1149 Mission Street, San
Francisco, CA 94103, is a
new outfit and, while they
are not in the sex field, I
feel that their products
deserve a mention. I have
dealt with them and have
found their service to be
dependable and quick,
also the one product that I
have gotten from them is
of superior quality and
definately useful. They
offer a leather shoulder
wallet that is good with
today’s pocketless
European fashions and
for the man or woman
.who travels. Have you
ever had your pocket or
purse picked? I
have...three times. I also
travel a lot and worry
about carrying my wallet
in my back pocket or in
the breast pocket of a suit.
But with this item I feel
my money is safe and I
have maximum security
and comfort. I wish I
could adequately
describe this item; the
Ibest way would be to
compare it to a shoulder
{holster. It is adjustable,
comfortable with two
compartments, one
jzippered and the other
snap down, and will hold
lall your credit cards and
imoney without looking
bulky or showing under
your suit. This item, in
fine leather (black, tan or
brown) sells for $24.95.
