Barry Jones, Chairman, MGT Board of Directors 1986-1992. Inset is a snapshot of the pastel portrait by artist Deanna Griffin. Pictured at right are board member Dr. Napoleon Williams and faculty member Lew Brinson enjoying fellowship at the community gathering in honor of Mr. Jones. Guests at this event included fam ily friends, MGT staff, local business rep resentatives, and city, county and state of ficials. According to MGT President Billy Edenfield, "the portrait of O. Barry Jones was a small token of appreciation from the Board of Directors to honor his ser vice and dedication to technical education in Georgia, and especially Middle Geor gia Technical Institute." The late Mr. Jones was the first Chair man of the local Board after MGT con verted in 1986 from county control to be ing a unit of the Georgia Department of Technical and Adult Education.
