Hornets, from 7A Westfield s starters continued to flow. After Athens Christian broke the Hornets' six-game winning streak in the Region 2-AAA championship last week, Westfield was determined to play well in the opener. "It’s not like we [played well] for a while,’’ Massey said. "I thought we did it, pretty much, for 32 minutes tonight. We talked at halftime about finishing up the job we did in the first half, and I thought we did a pretty good job of that," Westfield's balanced scoring Turkey, from sa lean winters. "The effort to recover wild turkey populations has been one of the great conservation success stories of this century," Keck said. "By working with cooperative partners like Georgia-Pacific, we will help ensure that wildlife resources can continue to thrive." Growing trees to meet needs for housing, containers, paper and thousands of other forest products continues to be Georgia-Pacific's economic reason for owning and managing its forests. "But as we have demonstrated with our model program to protect the endangered red-cockaded woodpecker, we are determined to continue combining wildlife-sensitive practices with our overall forest management strategies," said Jarck. Shipley, from 4A mittee, never even seeing the light of congressional day. This in itself indicates the level of danger facing all alternative schools. The Home School Legal Defense Assoc. (HSLDA) estimates there to be 600-800,000 home schooled children and teens in America. Added to these figures are those young people attending private, Christian or church schools, and HR6/Amendment 2124 will affect nearly 20% of all school-aged children. It is interesting that when I called Congressman Miller's office Monday of this week, before the vote scheduled for Thursday, I got a recording for home schoolers and was unable to contact anyone in his office. So I contacted Senator Nunn's office and an aide said that I could not get a copy of the Bill or Amendment, as it was being revised because of the controversy and that the Bill never intended to include private schools or home schoolers. It will be interesting to see the ramifications if this Bill passes. Make no mistake, there is an agenda and it is much more than improving the quality of education. It is the complete control of the education of cur children and thus molding a whole generation. fixed rate 1 - HM 4 /00/ FIXED HATE 1 ' ** /U 30 YEARS JH phkqualification There’s never been a better time to refinance your existing mortgage or purchase a home with a Commerce Equity Fixed Rate mortgage loan. Westfield's second round opponent should be a considerably more difficult task. Stratford struts into Saturday's game with a convincing 97-70 thumping of Edmund Burke in the first round. As always, Joey Cranford is the key, as exemplified by his 30-point effort in Thursday's opener. With the blowout win behind them, Massey is concerned that the Hornets may not benefit from the gigantic win like they would from a close game. "I'm concerned that we're not going to be ready for Saturday's game," Massey said. "Saturday will be different. We will be challenged. There's going to be a big change going from this game to the next opponent." Clean, fromßA volunteers worked a total of 4,700 hours to collect trash during the week of July 17-24, 1993.
