Kealoha of Warner Robins and Mr. Samuel T. Butler of Marietta were united in marriage at Central Baptist Church in Warner Robins on Saturday, Jan. 29 at 7 p.m. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Betty Kennoy and Mr. and Mrs. Ed and Suzy Varner, all of Warner Robins. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Grady and Gene Butler of Marietta. Rev. Bruce Mayhew, brother of the bride, and Rev. Robert Jarrett officiated. Music was provided by June Walker, organist, and Mark Swanson, vocalist. The bride wore an ivory wedding gown of empress satin and imported alenzon lace. The gown featured a sweetheart neckline and bishop sleeves. Tne basque fitting bodice was heavily beaded with appliques of alenzon lace, seeded pearls and se quins. Scattered appliques of beaded alenzon lace adorned the skirt and cathedral length train and the hem line was bordered with alenzon lace. Her cathedral length ivory tulle lace with blusher veil featured a silk covered comb with silk shantung roses and pearls. The bridal bouquet consisted of a cascade of fresh flowers with white calla lilies, roses, stephanotis and baby orchids, and white lace and gold ribbon. Serving as Matron of Honor was the bride's sister, Melody Spalinger of Bakersfield, Ca. Crumpton of Perry and Mr. and Mrs. Donald C. Holt of Centerville announce the engagement of their daughter, Nancy Sharee Crumpton, to Jason Bradley Adams, son of Mr. and Mrs. Eric M. Adams of Centerville. The wedding will take place at 7 p.m. on July 2, 1994 at the First Mr. and Mrs. Samuel T. Butler Warner Robins. Bridesmaids were Carrie Butler of Marietta, Debbie Daugherty of Fayetville, N.C., Noelle Kieman of Charleston, S.C., Kris Moore of Atlanta, Nancy O'Hare of Atlanta and Jenny Poulos of New Orleans, La. David Ohesling of Atlanta served as the groom's best man. Ushers were Brad Beebe of Rochester, N.Y., Kevin George of Audabon, Pa., Tom Oliver of Charlotte, N.C., Rick Rover of Atlanta, Tom Sides of Fredricksburg, Va., Steve Snipes of Arlington, Va., Nick Teske of Augusta, Jed Varner of Warner Robins and Dan von Sail of Atlanta. St. Clair Dias of Greenville, S.C. and Bethany Mayhew of Orlando, FI. were flower girls. Will Verr.er of Warner Robins and Chad Spalinger of Bakersfield, Ca. were ringbearers. After the wedding, a reception, hosted by Ed and Suzy Varner, was held at Massee Lane Camelia Gardens. Servers were Willa Bozeboom, Susan and Marty Meyers, Latrell Joiner, Gary Andrews, Shari Ray, Mary Joe Coleman, Ann Baggett, Deborah Lavavor and Amanda Turner. The rehearsal dinner was held at* Robins Air Force Base Officer's Club and was hosted by Grady and Gene Butler. Grandparents are Samuel E. and Peggy Smiddie of Macon and Lynwood and Barbara Cox of Macon. - Free Dogwoods Offered By Foundation Ten free white flowering dog wood trees will be given to each person who joins the National Ar bor Day Foundation during March, 1994. The free trees are part of the nonprofit Foundation's Trees for America campaign. "The white flowering dogwoods will add year-round beauty to your home and neighborhood," John Rosenow, the Foundation's execu tive director, said. "Dogwoods have showy spring flowers, scarlet au tumn foliage, and red berries which attract songbirds all winter.” The trees will be shipped post paid at the right time for planting between April 1 and May 31 with enclosed planting instructions. The Cpl. Chambers Participates In Arms Exercise Marine Lance Cpl. Young D. Chambers, son of William M. and Ida Chambers of Bonaire, recently deployed for a four-week combined arms exercise at Twenty-nine Palms, Calif. Chambers is assigned for duty with the 2nd Tank Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, Camp Lejeune, N.C. Chambers joined the Marine Corp in Sept., 1990. Houston County Senior To Win Scholarship A SI,OOO art scholarship will be awarded to one high school senior in Houston County by the Warner Robins Art Association during its Students Art Show. Deadline for submitting art is Thursday, March 10. Students in terested in entering the art show should contact their art teacher for rules, or the association at 328- 6898. An annual event, the show will be held at Houston Mall in Warner Robins March 11-12. The show will feature artwork by students in all grades and students in seventh through 12th grades will compete for awards. Students in lower grades will receive certificates of participa tion. Scholarship applicants should be planning to attend a secondary school with an accredited art pro gram, but need not major in art to be eligible for the award. The scholarship is available to seniors in public and private schools as well as home-school students. Yarbrough, pastor of First Baptist Church, Perry. Danny Evans was best man. The bride is the former Debbie Moody. Her daughter, Shana Scoggins, gave her mother away. At the reception, the musical group, Boardwalk, furnished live vocal and instrumental music from the 1950 s and 60s. Boardwalk is composed of Eddie Byrd of Perry (formerly of Fort Valley), Dennis Herbert of Fort Valley and David Luckie of Macon. The men are original members of the group and have been playing and singing together since their teenage years. The attractive tables were laden with delicious party food. A host of friends and relatives from the Middle Georgia area greeted the couple and enjoyed the festive occasion, including the groom’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mercer Byrd of Fort Valley, and the bride’s mother and step-father, Mr. and Mrs. Bemie Coyner of Macon. Some others spotted enjoying the occasion were: Mr. and Mrs. Daniel F.
