Perry Country Club. Using a driver
and an 8-iron on No. 8, she
duplicated the Eagle she shot last
year on the same hole with the
same clubs, while playing with
Betty Kelly. The No. 8 is a par 4,
311-yard hole. For those who
might not know, an Eagle is two
shots less that the par for a
particular hole; a birdie is one shot
less than par. Par is the number of
strokes set up for each hole by
management of the golf course. A
hole-in-one stroke is sometimes
called an ace or "a hole in one".
One stroke more than par is called a
bogie; two strokes more than par is
a double bogie, etc.
