ever-popular Dogwood Ball.
Scheduled for April 30, this

Providing music for the evening
will be The Jesters, a sixties band

of hit recording artists such as
Marvin Gaye, Patty Laßelle, The
Platters and Jackie Wilson. Their
program will feature a number of
hit songs from the sixties era and
will include exciting in

and a five-piece horn and woodwind
section.
Dress for the evening is black-tie

is that we are a non-profit service
club and that all funds we raise are
put right back into the commu

Whiddon. “The Dogwood Ball is
our primary fundraiser of the year
and its success means much in our
efforts to help a number of local
worthwhile causes.”
Among those helped by the Bal
vaunuca Club in recent years have
been the Perry Ministerial Associa

Friends of the Library, the Safe
House and the Rainbow House.
The club has also made great
strides toward fulfilling various
needs brought to their attention
such as providing a child with the
funds to attend Camp Can Do and
supporting the children’s ward at
Perry Hospital as well as foster
children through the Department of
Family and Children Services.
