Blood drive to
be held in Perry
Tuesday, June 14
A blood drive will be held at the
Agriculture building on Carroll
Street Tuesday, June 14 from noon
until 5:30 p.m.
Due to the drastically reduced
supply of blood, a greater response
is needed from donors in all parts of
the country. Make every effort to
donate blood on this date.
Ala. She graduated from Perry
High School and Middle Georgia
College in Cochran where she
received her Associate of Science
Degree. Jennifer is currently
pursuing a Bachelor of Science in
Nursing and is employed with the
Christian Learning Center in Perry.
Keith is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Jimmy L. Beck of Cochran and the
grandson of Mrs. Myrtle Hinson
and the late Herbert Hinson of
Cochran and the late Mr. and Mrs.
Jasper Newton Beck of Cochran.
He graduated from Bleckley County
High School and Georgia Tech in
Atlanta where he received his
Bachelor of Industrial Engineering.
Keith is currently pursuing his
Master of Science in Health
Systems from Georgia Tech and is
employed as a Graduate Research
Assistant with Gwinnett Hospital
Systems.

Woodruff Celebrates Birthday
Mrs. Truitt (Ida Belle) Woodruff celebrated her 91 at birthday
with her friends and family recently. She has one eon,
Horace, three granddaughters, nine great-grandchildren and
four great-great-grandchildren. Congratulations Mrs.

R.C. Talton honored with cooperatives award
Richard C. Talton of Houston
County, director of Flint EMC,
was one of five recipients of the
1994 Georgia Distinguished
Cooperator Award at the Georgia
Council of Cooperatives annual
meeting.
This award recognizes
outstanding individuals who have
made a contribution to Georgia
cooperatives and the agricultural
industry in Georgia. A lifelong
farmer, Talton has served as a
director of Hint EMC at Reynolds
for 30 years and has been active in
the Farm Credit System serving as
a director, vice chairman and
member of the executive committee

1992. This board was recognized
by the Farm Credit System as the
Most Outstanding Board for 1990.
He also served on the

trustees of Perry United Methodist

Perry and the Houston County
Farm Bureau, and a member of the
advisory board of Southern Milk
Sales and the Perry Chamber of
Commerce. He attended Abraham
Baldwin Agricultural College and
