Perry Middle students make gifts for Moms
Thirty volunteer students In Mrs. Sabrina Phelps Home Economics Class, sewed
pillows to give their mothers last Sunday as Mother's Day gifts. Pictured are John

Tucker Students of the Week
The following students were named Students of the Week by Tucker Elementary School for
the week ending March 11: Josh O’Neal, Emily Wooden, Jessica Davis, Jarodlus Brown,
Petoyrla Wilson, Kanorrls Hudgens, Christopher El-Amln, Natalie Wills, Travis Dugger,
Temlka Ross, Nlkl Willis, Jlmesa Foster , Kelli Barnett, Kristina Hlghsmlth, Kelly Pike,
Kendall King, Amanda Adams, Clashunda Minor, Frederick Martin, Anne Adams, Denise
Williams, Nicole Hill, TequJlla Jackson, Lindsey Bell. The following were absent when
picture was made: Cassandra Wlgmore and Tommy Willard.

Angle Hansen
Perryan takes
center stage in
summer theater
Angie Hansen will be
performing for the LaGrange
Repertory Theatre this summer.
She is cast as the female lead in
Musical Comedy Murders of 1940
and will also be involved in the
production of Neil Simon's A Walk
in the Woods.
Miss Hansen is the daughter of
Rev. and Mrs. William Hansen of
Perry. She is a rising junior at
Shorter College in Rome, Ga. She
is working towards a B.F.A. degree
in Theatre Arts on Theatre and
Academic Scholarships. She has
performed in numerous plays and
musicals. She was recently seen in
A Shayna Maidel, a play depicting
the years following the Holocaust.
This offering was overseen
personally by the internationally
renown playwright, Barbara Lebow.
Miss Hansen has also had the
opportunity to work with composer
Michael Rice in American Beauty.
Mr. Rice is best known for his
plays Nunsense and Nunsense 11.
Miss Hansen also performs with
the musical theatre troupe "Kids on
the Hill." Additionally, she has
participated in Georgia Theatre
Conterence and Southeastern
Theatre Conference.
She is a 1992 graduate of Perry
High School and cast member of
four Region and two State
Championship One-Act plays. She
spent two summers on scholarship
at Mid Summer Macon. She played
"Rose" in Chris Gillespie’s original
production of To Have And To
Hold. The full length version of
To Have And To Hold is being
presented May 12, 13 & 14 at the
Perry High School Auditorium.

Dunn earns award for top-record book
Samantha Dunn was awarded her
third consecutive Houston County
4-H and FFA Market Hog Record
Book Championship trophy. Mr.
Earl Cheek congratulated Samantha
on her accomplishment. Samantha
said she would like to thank Mr.
Cheek for letting her keep her pigs
at his barn. Samantha's brother,
Chris and sister, Georgina, also
kept their pigs at Mr. Cheek's bam.
The Hog Market Record Book is
a compilation of the 4-Her's hog
project, i.e., weight gains, feeding
rates, protein rations, etc.;
including questions pertaining to
the National Pork Producers
Quality Program, and the
importance of producing quality
pork products that people like to
eat.
The 4-Her is also required to
describe in essay form, the years
most memorable experiences. Mr.
Cheek said he would like the
