Page 2A ~ Saturday, May 21,1994 "Houston Times-Journal Eugene Gilbert ELKO-Eugene Gilbert, 46, died Monday, May 16, 1994 at his residence. Bom in Houston County, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Bo Gilbert. Mr. Gilbert was a member of the Free Providence Baptist Church. He was a reared farmer and had attended public schools in Houston County. Survivors: companion, Delois Webb of Elko; stepdaughter, Teresa Duncan of Perry; stepsister, Carrie Bell Lester of rerry. Services: Will be held Saturday, May 21, 1994 in the Free Providence Baptist Church in Grovania at 2 p.m. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. The Rev. John Thomas will officiate. Bobby E. Glover Mortuary in Perry has charge of arrangements. June Evans to speak at Perry Aglow meeting June Evans of Douglasville will be the speaker for the Perry Aglow on May 21, at the Houston County Extension building on Carroll Street at 9:45 a.m. June travels throughout the United States teaching Bible seminars and speaking to various Christian groups. She has appeared The Masons of Houston Lodge No. 35 F&AM, Perry (Thomas Fast, secretary, 987-2376) meets every second and fourth Monday night of each month at the Masonic Building, Jemigan Street. Meals are served at a nominal charge beginning at 6:30 p.m. Regular meetings begin at 7:30 p.m. All member Master Masons and visiting brethren are welcomed. Perry High Booster Club: Meets every 2nd Monday of each month at Perry High School at 7:30 p.m. Houston Drug Action Council (HODAC): A free rape support group is now being formed.
