Bom in Wewahitchka, Fla., she was a former resident of Charleston, S.C., moving to Peny in 1990. She was the daughter of the late Augusta and Eva Rebecca Roberts Menck and was the widow of Roy Dickerson. She had worked as a restaurant cashier and was a member of Christ's Sanctified Holy Church. Survivors: sister, Sally Cease of Hananhan, S.C. Services: Were held Tuesday, June 7, 1994 in the Christ Sanctified Holy Church in Perry at 2 p.m. Burial took place in the church cemetery. The Rev. Ray Smith officiated. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home in Perry had charge of arrangements. Willie B. Durham KATHLEEN-Willie B. Durham, 0f344 Sandefur Road, died Saturday, June 4, 1994, in a local hospital. Bom in Houston County, he was the son of the late Rufus Durham. He attended public schools in Houston County and was a fanner. Survivors: wife, Lois Maxine Childs Durham of Kathleen; children, Bobby Childs of Atlanta, Larry Durham of Augusta, Glory Durham, Celestine Durham, Virginia Durham, Benita Durham, Belinda Durham and Brenda Durham, all of Kathleen, and Stephanie Smith of Warner Robins; mother and stepfather, Mary Durham Stubbs and Ed Stubbs of Warner Robins; sister and brothers, Gladys Dawson, Bob Durham and Eddie Durham, all of Warner Robins; and two grandchildren. Services: Will be held Wednesday, June 8, 1994 in the Houston Mount Zion Baptist Church, Houston County, at 2 p.m. Burial will take place in the Beulah Church Cemetery in Bonaire. The Rev. George Brooks will officiate. Richardson Funeral Home in Perry has charge of arrangements. Jack C. Lasseter Sr. BYRON-Jack C. Lasseter Sr., 72, of Byron, died Monday, June 6, 1994 in a Warner Robins hospital after an extended illness. Bom in Unadilla, he was the son of the late Eula Greer Lasseter and the late Chester Lasseter. He had lived in Byron the past 53 years and was a member of Byron United Methodist Church. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the 21st Engineer Aviation Regiment in North Africa and Italy. He was a meat cutter for Longhorn Butcher in Perry, and was a past executive director of the Byron Housing Authority. He was a retired employee of the Georgia Department of Corrections. Survivors: wife, Willadeen Goss Lasseter of Byron; son. Jack C. Lasseter Jr. of Byron; brother, Vemer L. Lasseter of Perry; and a grandchild. Services: Will be held Wednesday, June 8, 1994 in the Byron City Cemetery. The Rev. Horace Chapman will officiate. The family may be contacted at the residence of Marian Lasseter, 1008 Lucia Drive, Bryon. Rooks Funeral Home in Fort Valley has charge of arrangements. Perryan represents MGTI at competition Angela N. Reid of Perry represented Middle Georgia Technical Institute in the Georgia Occupational Award of Leadership (GOAL) competition held in Atlanta on May 31 through June 2. Angela, one of the 12 finalists in the competition, was nominated on the basis of outstanding student achievements and leadership qualities. Angela is a student in MGT's Information Office Technology program. She is the wife of Keven Wayne Reid. Joe Colon was named the state GOAL winner during an award banquet on June 2 that was the climax of the state-wide competition. The three day program held at the Crown Plaza Hotel at Ravina in Atlanta began with an orientation and leadership training session for contestants on the evening of May 31 and was capped off with a banquet naming the winner. Guest speaker at the award was the Honorable Robert Benham, Presiding Justice of the Supreme Court of Georgia. The state GOAL competition was sponsored by the Georgia Department of Technical and Adult Education and the Georgia Chamber of Commerce. The accidents resulted in one injury and no deaths. He also pointed out that fines and forfeitures amounted to $24353 for the month of May which was paid to the courts of Houston County.
