Crowe said the recent reports from Florida State about football players getting free shopping trips were disturbing. "It disappoints me as an alumni and a former player when situations like this pop up. "What I think has changed so much is expectations from the fans," said Crowe. "Fans used to think a big season was 7-4. But, in some programs, they are satisfied with nothing less than 12-0. "It is a very big business. Some times the competition is so fierce that it is very easy to step over the line." River, from 7A Fishing statistics indicate that the freshwater fishery of the Savannah River is under-utilized. "A lot of students play football in college," said Crowe, "but they don't get an education. Very few make it in the pros. They (college players) forget what they were sup posed to do."
