Wednesday, June 15.1994 "H0u5t0n Tlm«9-Journal Page 2B Jones becomes bride of Mr. Wright April 16 Candace McFarland Jones of Belleair, Fla. and Benjamin Cash Wright of Perry were married on Saturday, April 16, 1994 at 3:30 p.m. in the Perry United Methodist Church. Candace is the daughter of Mrs. Sue Jones and the late Graydon Jones of Belleair, Fla., and is the granddaughter of Mrs. Frances McFarland and the late Brig. General Thomas G. McFarland (USMC Ret'd.), also of Belleair. She wore a highly captivating satin sheath gown that left you speechless. The portrait v-neckline brings much attention to the front bodice. The long satin tapered sleeves are detachable and highlighted with cut-out appliques down to the pointelle cuff. The detachable cathedral train has large cut-out appliques that sits on the train with smaller ones cascading along the sides. Tl.e headpiece was a beautiful crown all peari beaded with a double pouf on back with a fingertip veil. Her cascade bouquet consisted of fresh gardenias, stephanolis, lily of the valley, white roses, Queen Anne's lace and ivy. Benjamin is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmo C. Wright of Perry and is the grandson of Bessie Pittman m Stacey Lynn Gilmore Gilmore and Curtis to exchange vows July 23 in Alabama Stacey Lynn Gilmore of Montgomery, Ala., and Lt. Joseph (Joe) Curtis Thomas of Wichita Falls, Texas, have announced their plans to be married on Saturday, July 23, 1994 in the St. Peter's Catholic Church in Montgomery, Ala. Stacey is the daughter of Barbara Payne of Fort Deposit, Ala., and Oliver Gilmore of Dadeville, Ala. Her grandparents arc Mr. and Mrs. Ernest E. Smith of Lanett, Ala., and the late Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Gilmore. Stacey graduated from Jefferson Davis High School and is attending Tro; State Univers.ty of Montgomery where she will graduate this summer. She is employed with AmSouth Bank in Montgomery, Ala. Joe is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Curtis Thomas, Jr., of Perry. Reception will be held in honor of Gaugers Mike and Corky Gauger will host a reception for Myron Gauger and his bride, Kate Dwyer, on Saturday, June 18th from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the fellowship hall of the Perry United Methodist Church. No gifts please. They will show pictures of the wedding that took place in Asheville, N.C. on April 23rd. Also, honeymoon pictures from Italy where they had a month long trip. All friends are invited to attend. Mrs. Rozar to honored with reception at FBC On Sunday, June 19, 1994, there will be a reception held at the Perry First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. honoring Mrs. J. Frank Rozar. The reception is to honor Mrs. Rozar's 90th year and is being given by her daughter and son-in-law, Frances and Clint Strouse. Mrs. Rozar resided in the Perry area for around 50 years. She moved to Illinois several years ago to be near her daughter and her family. Family and friends are invited to the reception. No invitiations will be sent. No gifts please. of Sale City, Ga. The Rev. Jim Mcllrath and Rev. Billy Key officiated the ceremony. The Music Director and Soloist was Chris Murrell; Debra Walker on piano; Nancy Joyner was the organist and Pat McCall played the violin. The Maid of Honor was Rebecca Zeller of Clearwater, Fla. Bridesmaids were: Suzy Deneke of Birmingham, Ala., Sheri Wright of Atlanta and Meredith Wright of London, England. The Flower Girls were Nikki and Mandy Wright. The Best Man was Mr. Elmo C. Wright Sr. of Perry, father of the groom. Ushers were Mr. Elmo C. Wright Jr. of London, England, Mr. Daniel Wright of Atlanta and Mr. Jess Wright of Valdosta, all are brothers of the groom. The Ringbearer was Will Wright. One of the highlights of the wedding was the lighting of a remembrance candle in memory of the bride’s father. A reception was held in the Fellowship Hall. The Servers were: Faye McFarland, Dottie Hejka, Karen Gilbert, Cheryl Gilbert and Jean Gilbert, all relatives of the bride. A rehearsal dinner was held at the New Perry Williford to marry Watrous during July ceremony Mr. and Mrs. William H. Williford announce the engagement of their daughter Kendall Laßue Williford to David Andrew Watrous, son of Mr. and Mrs. Philip J. Watrous of Ledyard, Connecticutt. The wedding is planned for July 9th at Perry United Methodist Church at 5 p.m. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ryland T. Dcdge of Colonial Beach, Virginia. Kendall attended Savannah College of Art and Design and is now at Rhema Bible Training Center in Tulsa, Ok., preparing for the ministry. David is the grandson of Mrs. Lucy Watrous of Inglewood, Fla., and Mrs. Dottie Lowry. He is a 1993 graduate of Rhema and travels as a musician with Kenneth Hagin Ministries.
