The State Board of Education Thursday adopted Stale Superintendent Werner Rogers' recommendation that the high school program be stmegthened by eliminating the general track as a high school program of study. “This change raises academic standards for every high school student effective in fall 1995,” said Rogers. “It will ensure that each student’s course work is focused and goal oriented and that all our graduates leave high school with the skills they need to succeed in life.” The board’s action does not Stubbs receives degree at ABAC Dennis F. Davis and Bristol C. Davis were recognized for their scholastic achievement during the Spring Quarter at the University of Georgia. Bristol's announcement reads: "In recognition of superior academic accomplishment represented by a 4.0 grade point average for the quarter, Bristol C.
