J ‘ Mr. and Mrs. Jason Lanier Howell Calhoun, Howell unite in Aug. 20 ceremony Tina Marie Calhoun of Perry and Jason Lanier Howell of Perry were married on Saturday, August 20, 1994 at 6 p.m. in the Houston Lake Baptist Church. Tina is the daughter of Marlon and Sandra Arnold of Perry. Jason is the son of Lynn and Debbie Howell of Bonaire. Brother A.C. Trueluck officiated the ceremony. Wedding music was provided by Terry Clopton, organ, Stephanie McMillan, piano, Marlon Arnold provided the song, “I Cross My Heart”, while Michelle McMillan and Jennifer Collier sang “The Lord’s Prayer”. The bridal gown was white silk, high lace neckline with pearls, bodice was pearls and lace, with lace sleeves, long with a long flowing train. Southern Bell style with hoop under dress. Her parents, Diane and Ronnie Scruggs of Perry, attended. Thompson gets degree from Oklahoma school Phillip Thompson received his master’s degree in economics from Oklahoma University, through the Education Program at Offutt Air Force Base at Omaha, Nebraska. Graduation exercises were held at Offutt where Thompson and his wife, the former Tracey Willard of Perry, live, where Thompson has also been promoted to Ist lieutenant in a special ceremony. He is the son of Phyllis and Juan Thompson of Perry. He has two sisters, Dawn Distin of Savannah, Ga. and April Carter of Wavcross, Ga. His motner attended both the graduation and promotion white small flowers and pearls. Servers were Michelle McMillan, Jennifer Collier and Brenda Walton. A rehearsal dinner was held at Gregg’s Mexican Restaurant hosted by Debbie Weaver and Pat Weaver. Ginger is the daughter of Rev. and Mrs. George Tribble of Warner Robins, and is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Tribble Sr. of Tucson, Arizona and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Warriner of Pineola, N.C. Sirmans received the Bachelor of Arts Degree in Speech last year from the same college. She is a graduate of Perry High School, and is now employed by the Rockdale County School System. Students may begin day or evening classes on a full- or part-time basis.
