incident reports from the
Perry Police Department for
the period Aug. 24-29.)
Sneakers stolen
Ray Mashbum, a coach at Perry
Middle School, complained to
police Aug. 25 that someone had
broken into a physical education
building at the 1500 Sunshine Ave.
location and had taken several items
from three students. Among the
missing articles were three pairs of
sneakers valued at $232, two rings
valued at $330 and a S4OO diamond
cut rope chain.
Dog bite
William Kersey, of 1203
Charles Ave., told police that he
was bit by a dog he owned at 5:15
p.m. on Aug. 25.
Items missing
Manubhai Naranji Patel, of a
Dalton address, complained Aug. 25
at 2:30 p.m. that she had discovered
$2,000 in cash, SIOO in jewelry and
S3O in clothing missing.
Terroristic threat
Angel Worthy, of 1980 Kings
Chapel Rd., told police Aug. 25 at
9 a.m. that someone had approached
her and made terroristic threats.
Suspicious person
Debra Williams, of a Fort
Valley address, told officers Aug.
24 at 9:38 p.m. that she had noticed
a suspicious person in the vicinity
of Days Inn.
Suspect flees
Officer Abner Green was on
routine patrol Aug. 25 at 5:06 a.m.
when he noticed a white male
running through the parking lot of
Wayne Morris Ford. The suspect
disappeared into the woods before
he could be questioned.
DUI charge
Robert Lee Bailey, of 1041
Windchester Circle, was arrested
Aug. 24 at 1 a.m. after he was
noticed weaving along the roadway.
Struck by person
Jackie Sutton, 713 Patterson
St., complained that she had been
struck by another person on Aug.
24 at 10:12 p.m.
Missing person
Dorothy Odom, of an Atlanta
address reported Aug. 24 that a 25-
year-old black female, Tonya
Brooks, had been missing since
Aug. 21.
Ring missing
Iris Newberry, of a Hawkinsville
address, complained to police Aug.
24 that someone had taken a ring
from her vehicle while it was
parked at a Main St. location
between Aug. 12-24.
Theft by taking
Dee Dee Wilkerson, 1006 St.
Patricks Dr., complained Aug. 24
at 11:31 p.m. that someone had
stolen various items from her
vehicle.
Criminal trespass
Leroy Engram, of a Rt. 2
Toomer Rd. address, told police that
someone had entered his car
between Aug. 23-24 without
permission.

Perry police report
Keys located
Officer Heath Dykes was on
routine patrol Aug. 24 at 11:43
p.m. when he located two sets of
keys in tractors at Walker Rhodes
Tractor Co.
DUI charge
Roy Lee Parker, of 703 Star St.,
was stopped Aug. 28 at 5:45 p.m.
after he was observed weaving and
transporting a child without a
restraint device. He was charged
with DUI, endangering a child under
14 years of age, no insurance, no
drivers license.
Criminal trespassing
Phil Smith, principal of Perry
High School, complained Aug. 28
at 8:56 p.m. that someone had
came onto that property without
permission.
Imitation purses
A Bibb County Sheriffs Dept,
official contacted the police
department on Aug. 27 at 2:38
p.m. that someone was selling
imitation purses without a license
near the Georgia National
Fairgrounds.
Bicycle stolen
Larry Whitfield, 722 Patterson
St., complained Aug. 29 at 12:33
a.m. that someone had stolen a
bicycle he had earlier borrowed.
Outstanding warrant
Michael DeAngelo Franklin, of
a Riverdale address, was arrested
Aug. 26 at 2:08 p.m. on an
outstanding warrant charge. He was
transported back to that city by
Riverdale authorities.
Food stamps lost
Cynthia Harris, of 713 Patterson
St., complained Aug. 24 that S2OB
in food stamps were lost or stolen
from her residence.
Disobeying signs
James Dinkins told police Aug.
26 at 3 p.m. that a car in the
vicinity of a school zone would not
obey traffic signs. A description of
the car was given to police.

Lonnie B. Caldwell, of 3040
Boulder Pk., was arrested Aug. 26
at 10:32 p.m. for drinking,
drunkenness and intoxication.
Fuel stolen
Gene Langston, an employee of
Amoco told police Aug. 27 at 7:55
p.m. that someone had drove away
without paying for $17.30 in fuel.
Female struck
Scott Dean, of a Marietta
address, told police Aug. 27 at 5:29
p.m. that he was struck from
behind by a white female while at
612 Frank Satterfield Rd.
Criminal trespass
Joe McNeil, of 402 Park Ave.,
complained to police that someone
had came onto his property between
Aug. 25-26 without permission.
VCR stolen
Edward Sneed, of 1523 Houston
Lake Rd., complained to police
Aug. 27 that someone had stolen a
$l5O VCR from his home
sometime between Aug. 21-27.
Car vandalized
Daniel Miller, of a Florida
address, told police Aug. 27 that
while his car was parked at Knights
Inn, someone vandalized the auto.
Assault reported
Barry Jordan, of a Kathleen
address, told police that he was
assaulted Aug. 20 while at a party
at Westwood Trailer Park. The
suspect was reportedly seen by
Jordan Aug. 28 at which time he
contacted police.
Suspicious person
Shirley Jackson, of 1038
Jackson Ave., told police that she
had noticed a suspicious person in
the vicinity of her residence Aug.
26 around 8 p.m.
Simple battery
Taya Jackson, of 1202 Oakdale
Ave., told police she was the
victim of simple battery at Perry
Middle School on Aug. 27 at 6:45
p.m.
