M mm l :. ; g|| Death notices Morris L. Bridges Morris L. Bridges, 85, of Georgia 96, died Wednesday, August 24, 1994 in a Montezuma hospital. Bom in Schley County, he was the son of the late Oscar and Bessie Cromer Bridges and had lived in Perry the past 46 years. He was a retired construction superintendent and bridge builder. He had operated the Perry Truck Stop for 10 years and was a retired employee of the City of Perry Street Department. He also operated Bridges Fruit Stand for a number of years. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Houston Lodge No. 35, F&AM, the A 1 Sihah Shrine Temple in Macon and the Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors: wife, Irva Montgomery Bridges of Perry; daughter, Joyce B. Jones of Perry; brother and sisters, Felton Bridges of Lakeland, Fla., Ldean Venable of Columbia, S.C., and Estelle Hill of Junction City; and two granddaughters, Selecia Jones of College Park and Valerie Jones of Montrose, Colo. Services: Were held Friday, August 26, 1994 in the Watson-Hunt Funeral Home in Perry at 2 p.m. Burial took place with Masonic rites in the Woodlawn Cemetery. Dr. Dan Ariail and Tom Arledge officiated. Addison E. “A.E.” Harris Jr. Addison E. Harris Jr., 87, of 321 A. E. Harris Rd. died Tuesday, August 30, 1994 in a Marshallviile nursing home. Bom in Crawford County, he had resided here for 63 years. He was the son of the late A. E. Harris Sr. and Blache McElmurray Harris. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, and was a Mason and a Shriner. Addison was a member of the Farm Bureau, and a former advisory director of Guarantee Federal and was a retired fanner. Survivors: wife, Adrian Pagett Harris of Perry; daughter, Jackie H. Holsenbeck of Milledgeville; two sons, John C. Harris and Addison Harris 111, both of Perry; one sister, Doris Walton of Perry; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services: Were held Thursday, Sept. 1, 1994 in the First Baptist Church in Perry at 4 p.m. The Rev. Claude McEldowney and Dr. John O. Yarbrough officiated. The burial took place in the Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at their home and suggests memorial contributions be sent to: The Shriner's Crippled Children’s Hospital, 950 W. Faris Rd., Greenville, S.C. 29605. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home in Perry had charge of arrangements. M. Lamar Morgan BONAIRE-M. Lamar Morgan, 54, of Bonaire, died Sunday, August 28, 1994 in a Warner Robins Hospital. Bom in Crenshaw County, Ala., he was the son of the late Manley Morgan. He was a plant management supervisor for Robins Air Force Base and was a member of First Baptist Church in Warner Robins. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served in the Vietnam War and was a GHSA certified football official for 26 years. Survivors: wife, Janice Morgan of Bonaire; mother, Doris Morgan Willingham of Macon; children, John Lamar Morgan of Fort Rucker, Ala., Scott A. Morgan of New Orleans, Danielle M. Watt of Hayneville, Tracy B. Kimball of Ladson, S.C., and Bobby Billings of Bonaire; brother and sisters, Steve P. Morgan of Kathleen, Betty Buck of Opdyke, 111., Felicia Yocum of Lawrenceville, Patricia Brown of Fayetteville, and Linda Morgan Lord of Macon; and five grandchildren. Services: Were held Wednesday, August 31, 1994 in the First Baptist Church in Warner Robins. Burial took place in the Magnolia Park Cemetery. The Rev. Jimmy Blanton officiated. Willingham, 2782 Virginia Drive, Macon. Joe Brown Parkerson BONAIRE-Joe Brown Parkerson, 84, of Bonaire, died Tuesday, August 30, 1994. Bom in Dodge County, he was the son of the late Daniel Walterman Parkerson and Frances Joann Burch Parkerson. He was a member of the Houston Lake Baptist Church and was a retired employee of Medusa Cement Corp. Survivors: wife, Lola Parkerson of Bonaire; two daughters, Angela Summers of Milledgeville and Bunk Lee Parker of Forsyth; one son, Joe J. Parkerson of Bonaire; sister and brother, Grace Bure of Oviedo, Fla. and Preston Parkerson of Cantonment, Fla.; eight grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Services: Were held Thursday, Sept. 1, 1994 in the Watson-Hunt Chapel at 10 a.m. The Rev. Olin Hamlin and Rev. A.C. Truluck officiated. Burial took place in tire Perry Memorial Gardens. Sadie Murray Paul WARNER ROBINS-Sadie Murray Paul, 87, of Warner Robins, died Wednesday, August 31, 1994 in a local hospital. Bom in Wellston, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Augusta Watson Murray. She had resided in Houston County most of her life and was a member of the Central Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She is proceeded in death by her husband, Byron R. Paul. Survivors: son, T. Murray Paul of Warner Robins; daughter, Vera P. Lamar of Bonaire; two sisters, Frances M. Brown of Eastman and Doris M. Duffey of Miami, Fla.; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Services: Graveside services were held Friday, Sept. 2, 1994 at 2 p.m. The Rev. Jim Dorriety officiated. Burial took place in the Magnolia Park Cemetery. Watson-Hunt Funeral home had charge of arrangements. James G. “Jim” Vogt James G. “Jim” Vogt, 67. of 621 Cooper St., died Tuesday, August 30. 1994 at his residence. Bom in Wilmington, Deleware, he was the son of the late Gordon and Ethel Fisher Vogt. He was a retired cattleman where he worked for over 40 years. He also had been a representative for WW Manufacturing Co. Inc. and co-owner of the Howell Cobb Sunday School Class. He was an honorary lifetime member of The Georgia Angus Association and a member of the Georgia Cattleman’s Association. Survivors: wife, June Vogt of Perry; three daughters, Jackie V. Bishop of Jonesboro, Janna V. Dixon of Elberton and Jenny V. Sweat of Dacula; son, Jeff Vogt of Lawrenceville; sister, Mary Naylor Zodda of Newport News, Va.; and seven grandchildren. Services: Were held Friday, Sept. 2, 1994 in the Perry United Methodist Church at 11 a.m. The Rev. Marcus Tripp officiated. Burial took place in the Perry Memorial Gardens. Perry establishments, Bill's 10-71 and Swift Street Inn were the top local recipients of TOO' scores. Warner Robins' businesses with high marks included Rosie's Italian (Ramada Inn), Lenny's Lounge (Ramada Inn), J&C's Hot Dog Hut, Quail Run Elementary School, Ted Wright Park (Rec. Center), Peavy Concession (Rec. Center), Happy Hour School, Moose Lodge Lounge, McCalls Tastes to Remember. A total of 24 other locations were also on the chart. Perry businesses include (name followed by score): Pizza Hut (78) and Food Plus (99). One Bonaire business, White Diamond Grill, made the list with an 86 score. Other Warner Robins' eateries include: BJ's Orioles Nest (94), Cove Lounge (76), Holiday Inn Restaurant (90), I Can't Believe It's Yogurt (97), Little Caesar's Pizza (94), Moose Lodge Restaurant (97), Quincy's (95). In addition, Sonic Drive-In (829 Russell Pkwy., 95), Subway (98), Taco Bell (96), China Palace (87), Family Mart (88), Hardee's (421 N. Davis Dr., 94), Mike's Place (90), Tanner Snack Bar (Rec. Center) (96). Also, Fountain Concession (Rec. Center) (94), Memorial Park (Rec. Center) (96), Perkins Park (Rec. Center) (91), Recreation Center Concession (Rec. Center) (97), Sewell Concession (Rec. Center) (97) and Sonic Drive-In (117 Green St., 90). The grades are part of a periodic grading by the Houston County Environmental Health Agency. Scores are based on overall cleanliness, employee hygiene, temerature control of food or food sources, facility/equipment upkeep and storage of cleaning products or toxic materials. Grades are derived from three catagories: Excellent (90-100), Good (80-89) and Satisfactory (70-79). Aromatorio named partner in law firm Former Perry resident Robert Jeffrey Aromatorio has been named a partner in the Byron law firm of Lawrence C. Collins. The firm, on Sept. 1, will be known as Collins and Aromatorio, P.C. As both valedictorian and STAR student, Aromatorio graduated from Perry High School in 1986. He attended Mercer University and earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and a minor in Criminal Justice. Aromatorio attended Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law after his college graduation. The new partner was also named to "Who's Who among American Law School Students". He joined the firm of Lawrence C. Collins in January of this year.
