Hospital volunteer group
picks new '94-'95 officers
The Perry Hospital Volunteer
Auxiliary recently elected a new
slate of officers for the 1994-95
year.
The officers are Evelyn Rogers,
president; Pam Brown, vice presi
dent; Ethel Edwards, treasurer;
Roselle Davidson, recording secre
tary; Margie Daniels, corresponding
secretary; Virginia Wetherington,
director of volunteer services; and
Jim Peak, hospital administrator.
The Volunteer Auxiliary per
Lunchroom is rated high
Perry High School's cafeteria
just missed a perfect score by the
Houston Health Department, com
ing in with a 98. There were no
major discrepancies found.
The Big Dipper II on Sain Nunn
Boulevard and Cisco's Restaurant
on Carroll Street led three Perry
restaurants with perfect scores of
100 in a recent release of food ser
vice scores by the health depart
ment. The Dairy Queen on Court
ney Hodges Boulevard scored an 89,
with no major discrepancies found.
Seven establishments were
graded in the Warner
Robins/Centerviile area, with
Chen's Wok on Watson Boulevard

Medusa's Kistler retires;
Daniel is plant manager
After 20 years, a change in eras
has occurred at Medusa, with the re
tirement of Richard P. Kistler,
plant manager at the Clinchfield fa
cility since 1974.
Kistler will be replaced as plant
manager by Jim Daniel, who comes
to the plant after a seven year stint
as production manager at Lafarge
Corporation's facility in Alpena,
Mich.
This makes the second stint at
Medusa for Daniel, a Hawkinsville
native. Daniel worked a laborer at
the Clinchfield facility in the sum
mer of 1978.
Daniel faces an immediate chal
lenge as plant manager, with the

plished during our 21-day shutdown
period, and then optimize the pro
cess once we restart," he said.
Daniel is a 1980 graduate of Ge
orgia Tech, earning a bachelor of
ceramic engineering degree. He is
married to Starr Daniel, and has five
children: Amanda Daniel, LeAnn
Daniel, Seth Daniel, Kali Daniel
and Collin Daniel.
Kistler said that he plans to keep
busy in retirement by tending his
business interests and enjoying
hunting, fishing and camping.
