Christmas show
a first for group
For the first time in its 35 year
history, the Heart of Georgia
Barbershop Harmony Chorus will
perform a Christmas show. "We've
always felt that there were too
many other events going on during
the Christmas season to make a
show feasible," said Fred Hinesley,
chorus president.
But the group has decided to
present a show this season, and on
December 10, at 8 p.m.. Porter
Hall at Weslyan College in Macon
will ring with ChrisUnas carols and
other seasonal favorites such as
"Silver Bells," "I'm Dreaming of a
White Christmas." "Frosty the
Snowman," and many others.
As in most of the chorus
presentations, quartets and the
chorus will perform. A number of
Houston County residents. Cliff
Carroll, Ted Dunam, George Grace,
David Hale, Jay Locke, Don Schall,
Ken Schall, and Dr. Morgan Wynn,
will be among the performers. Ann
Clark, who helped write the show
and who is directing it. lives in
Warner Robins. The Chorus is
directed by Ken Wallace, a
Maconite. who teaches school in
Warner Robins. Other Chorus
members come from Milledgeville,
Macon, Bvron, Centerville, and
