QVC, Inc., a televised shopping channel, picked 20 products made by Georgians to feature on a live primetime broadcast on QVC. A group of buyers and other QVC rep resentatives are holding product searches in each state looking for unusual and marketable items. The Georgia search was held at the Perry Agricenter last week. Perryan Dale Grim was hoping to sell his unique bird houses. Albany resident and native Perryan Wallis Rehberg showed her pressed flower prints. Warner Robins resident Diane Hoots gave out samples of her kudzu jelly and syrup and showed kudzu baskets. There were kits to make porch swings from pallets, ha! racks and Crossroads plans cajun barbecue Crossroads United Methodist Church is preparing for their annual Cajun Barbecue Cook-Off to be held Saturday, Dec. 3. Cajun refers to the meth<xl used to cook die meat, rather than die sauce (very mild) which contains secret ingredients that make it very delectable to the palate. Chief Cook David Mills and his team of cooks and cutters are assembling the specially selected meat and the ingredients for the de licious sauce. Susan Mills heads the kitchen crew responsible for preparing and serving plates containing baked hems, bread, chips, pickles and a dessert. All tickets will be sold in advance for $5 per plate.
