Perry Hospital will present
seminar on organ donation
The holiday season is often
referred to as the "season of
giving." Gifts are exchanged during
this joyful time between friends,
relatives, co-workers, neighbors and
loved ones. It is also an important
time to remember the gift of life
organ donations. In fact, more than
100,000 Americans could benefit
today if enough organs and tissues
were available.

should all of the citizens of Houston County assume responsibility for
this tLun. Would they help me if my house was diunages and it needed a
new roof or my fence hits deteriorated ;uid needs to he repaired.
On the November 15th meeting, while another matter was being
discussed. Mr. Jay Walker made the comment, "Government can't be
everything to all people," but when the people are influential apparently
government can find a way to be what it needs to be for their convenience.
1 do not dislike, nor wish any ill will to the residents that are
attempting to get this area repaired to previous beauty. I just don’t think
my tax dollars should be used to make the repairs if it is actually for
private Landowners and the general public would d not benefit from it.
1 have always p:ud my bills and when adversity struck. I didn't expect
anyone else to pay or assume responsibility. I guess I need to leam how
to make the system work for me instead of the oilier way around.
Sincerely,
Joyce A. Phillips
