Duston to Holmes Wade
McConnell, son of Judge and Mrs.
L.A. McConnell, Jr. The wedding
is planned for March 25. 1995 at
the First Baptist Church, Watson
Blvd. in Warner Robins.
The bride-elect is the
granddaughter of Mrs. Mary
Manning of Jesup and Mr. and Mrs.
Arthur G. Duston, 111 of Siloan
Springs, Ark. A graduate of Perry
High School, she will graduate in
Book Club marks
60th anniversary
The Wednesday Afternoon Book
Club held its 60th Anniversary
Luncheon at the New Perry Hotel on
Dec. 21. Seventeen members and
iheir guest speaker were seated in the
holiday decorated Garden Room
After the tasty lunch, Mrs. Louise
Lawson introduced . Mrs. Diana
Yarbrough whose en joyable program
on “What Christmas Is AM About”,
included the Christmas story in Luke
2, and readings from “When God
Came Down” and “One Solitary
Life”..
Mrs. Hilda Walker read a Christmas
message from Mrs. Malissa Tucker
who was unable to attend.
The traditional exchange of gifts
was concluded with a holiday
message from Mrs. Tommy Hunt,
President.
Hostesses fro the luncheon were
Mrs. Carolyn Etheridge and Mrs.
Margaret Talton.
