The license year runs from April 1, 1995, through March 31, 1996. A one-year resident fishing license will cost you $9 and the combination fishing and hunting license will cost $lB. A resident 16 years or older must have a Georgia fishing license in their possession when fishing on any fresh water stream or lake in the state. The lone exception is if you are fishing in a private pond. Free Fishing Days in Georgia this year are June 10 and 11 and September 23. * * * The Small Georgia Lakes open to public fishing guide mentioned in this column recently doesn't offer our readers many places close to home to fish.
