Pearly Peavy
Pearly Peavy, of 1168 James St.,
died April 2 at her residence. Born
in Macon County, she lived in
Houston County most of her life.
She was the daughter of the late
Charlie and Ella King and was the
widow of J.B. Peavy.
Survivors: children, J.B. Peavy
Jr. of Ann Arbor, Mich., and Eula
Napier, Hammie Peavy, Ruth
Stokeling, Sammie Peavy,
Katherine Peavy and Ernest Peavy,
all of Perry; sisters and brothers,
Annie M. Brown and Velma
Robinson, Both of Perry, Henry
Robinson of Kathleen, Willie L.
Robinson of Belle Glade, Fla., and
Willie B. King, Gertrude King,
Ernest King and R.D. King, all of
Atlanta; 15 grandchildren; and 13
great-grandchildren.
Services: Were held April 8 in
Brown Chapel CME Church with
burial in the church cemetery. The
Rev. W.L. .Patterson officiated.
Richardson Funeral Home was in
charge of arrangements.

Library board won’t
meet April 13
Members of the Houston
County Public Library Board, who
normally meet on the second
Thursday of each month, will not
meet April 13.
Instead, according to spokesman
Vivian Fuller, the board will meet
April 20 at 7 p.m. at the Perry
Public Library, 1201 Washington
Ave.
Library board meetings are open
to the public.
Safari Day planned
That’s right, it’s coming! The
Clean Community Commission
will host a “Spring Safari Day!”
Save those glass containers and
aluminum beverage cans and bring
them to the Recycling Safari locat
ed at 151 Maple St. in Warner
Robins.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April
29, increased prices will be paid for
glass and aluminum.

removed

April 4. Bom in Bartow County, she
was the daughter of the late Guy V.
and Kitty S. Pickard. She was retired
from L & H Shirt Co. and was a
homemaker. She attended Cochran
Church of God.

Barker of Nashville, Barbara
Gazaway of Locust Grove, and
Lynn Hancock and Jody Register,

both of Calhoun, Billie M. Blair of

Oxford, Ala., and Shirley

children; eight great-grandchildren;
and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services: Were held April 7 in
Fisher Funeral Home, Cochran with
burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery. The
Rev. M.S. Stafford officiated.
Helen Greer Ande!
Helen Greer Andel, 80, of 1313
Parkway Drive, died April 9. Born
in Macon County, she had lived in
Perry the past 58 years and was the

Refunds go to Farm
Credit customers
DUBLIN During April,
member-borrowers of South Central
Farm Credit received patronage
refund checks for 1994, it was
announced by Dennis M. Waldrep,
president.
The patronage refund for borrow
ers of South Central Farm Crecit
will total more than $10.5 million.
Borrowers received, on Average, a
refund in excess of 43 percent of the
interest Farm Credit earned on their
loans in 1994. Thirty percent, or
$3.1 million, of the refund was paid
in cash. The balance was placed in
allocated surplus in the names of
individual member-borrowers.

Jack H. Ragland
MACON Jack H. Ragland,B6,
of 3451 Glynn Ave., died April 9 at
his residence. Bom in Newnan, he
was the son of the late Charles and
Leila Hutchings Ragland. He was
retired from Robins Air Force Base
and was co-owner of Ragland
Antiques. He was a member of
Cherokee Heights United Methodist
Church and had lived in Macon
since 1941.

1988, South Central Farm Credit

lion to its member-borrowers
through patronage refunds and sur
plus revolvements,” Lawson said.
South Central Farm Credit, a
farmer-owned cooperative, makes
long-term farm and county home loans,
intermediate-term loans for machinery,
equipment and buildings and short
term production loans. Other financial
services available through South
Central Farm Credit are credit life
insurance, crop insurance, appraisal
services and leasing programs.

Lazorchak received his Master of
Health Administration from
Washington University in 1973, and
earned his Bachelor of Arts from the
Gannon College in Pennsylvania.
He joins Houston Healthcare
Complex from Sacred Heart
Hospital in Cumberland, Md., where
he has served as Vice President of
Professional Services since 1990.
Previously, Lazorchak has served in
an administrative capacity for sever
al hospitals and medical centers
including The Medical Center of
Delaware, an 1100-bed, three hospi
tal teaching facility, and the
Cleveland Clinic Hospital in Ohio.

background in the healthcare setting
with over 25 years for supervisory
and administrative experience,’’said
Dr. Skip McDannald, Chief
Executive Officer of the Complex.
