CHRISTMAS ARRIVES - The Christmas season offi
dally arrived at the Crossroads of Georgia during the
past weekend. Much of the activity was centered
around the Houston County Courthouse square where
workmen (7) installed a large Christmas tree in time
for the annual Candlelight ceremony held Dec. 1. The
rain ended just in time for a large crowd (1) to assenv
*ble at the square for the 7 p.rn. service featuring (2)
members of the Perry Middle School Chorus, the Perry
High Band and the Houston Lake Baptist Church
Orchestra. Among those attending were Mayor and
Mrs. Jim Worrall (3), and this couple (4) who shared
their candlelight to bring a special glow to the city.
Boy Scouts joined others (5) in placing candles along
the streets during the rainy afternoon.
