Cynthia Carol Hall
Walker
COWAN, Tenn. Services for
Cynthia Carol Hall Walker, 31, of
Cowan, Tenn., who died Nov. 30,
1996, will be held Dec. 5 at 11:00
a.m. at Watson-Hunt Chapel in
Perry with Dr. Neal Wall officiat
ing. Burial will take place at Perry
Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be at Watson-
Hunt Funeral Home from 7:00
p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Dec. 4.
A native of Macon, and former
ly of Perry, she had resided in
Cowan, Tenn., for two years. She
was employed by Applebee’s and
was a member of the Bellevue
Baptist Church of Macon.
Survivors include her husband.
Daniel “Mich” Walker; daughters,
Kyra Lei Walker and Kayla Rae
Walker of Cowan, Tenn.; parents,
Judy and Jerry Hall of Perry; sis
ter, Lori Swanner of Macon;
brother, Edward Hail of Macon;
and paternal grandparents, Mr.
and Mrs. Ramsey Hall of
Carterviile. 111.
In lieu of flowers, the family
requests donations to the Walker
Daughters Education Fund, c/o
Bank of Perry, Perry. Ga. 31069.

Green who died Nov. 27, 1996,
were held Dec. 3 at Davis Hill
Baptist Church in Fort Valley with
the Rev. Matthew Raines officiat
ing.
Bom in Perry, he was the son of
the late Sarah Clark and James
Green. His early elementary and
secondary education was received
in the public schools of Houston
County. He was a member of
Davis Hill Baptist Church and
was the owner of Green
Construction Co. in Perry.
Survivors include his wife,
Carrie Mae Green; children,
Joanne Toomer, Shirlise Green,
Teresa Sneed, Chandria Yevette
Singletary, Randolph Green and
Marcus Green of Perry, Curtis
Charles Green of Warner Robins;
sisters, Ella Mac Glover of
Atlanta, Saletha Dinkins of Perry,
Irene Hentley, Sarah Norwood,
Betty Harris, and Mary Robinson
of Central Islip, N.Y.; brothers,
J.C. Green of Sanford, Fla.,

“Winnie” Howard, 62, who died
Nov. 17, 1996, will be held Dec. 7
at Watson-Hunt Chapel at 11:00
a.m. with the Rev. Dr. John
Bagwell officiating. Burial will
take place at Prospect Methodist
Church Cemetery located in
Athens at 4:00 p.m.
Visitation will be at Watson-
Hunt Funeral Home from 7 p.m.
until 8 p.m. Dec. 6.
A native of Plains, she had
resided here six years, moving
from Las Vegas. She attended
Randolph Macon Woman’s
College in Lynchburg, Va. and
was a graduate of the Univeristy
of Georgia with an undergraduate
degree in inorganic chemistry. She
was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha
Sorority. From 1957-1966, she
was a medical research chemist
for the University of Texas
Southwestern Medical School.
She received the EPA Gold Medal
for distinguished service in 1972
and was the sole woman team
member selected by the
Department of Energy for repeat
assignments to the Alleution
Islands for Fish Wildlife and
Natural Resource Monitoring
while employed as an environ
mental scientist/chemist for the
U.S. Environmental Protection
Agency and U.S. Dept, of Energy.
She was a licensed pilot and mem
ber of the Ninety Nine’ers
Women’s Pilot Club and was a
Place Winner in the 1976 Powder
Puff Derby Cross-Country Flight
Competition. She was a member
of Crystal Cathedral in Garden
Grove, Calif.
Survivors include sisters, Sarah
Howard Silverthom of Del Mar,
Calif, and Margaret Howard
Drubig of Reutlinger, Germany; a
niece, Sarah Alexander Drubig of
Reutlinger, Germany.

of the Houston Medical Center
Auxiliary. She was the widow of
Jack F. Jones.

Born in Oglethorpe, she was
the daughter of the late Ed Lowe
and was the widow of Benjamin
Maxwell. She was retired from
Bargain Corner Army Surplus
Store and was a member of
Macedonia Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter,
Mable Miller of Chicago; sister,
Rosa Mae Lowe of Connecticut,
Jessie Bell Laston of Americus,
and Louise Lowe of Perry; seven
grandchildren; and 16 great
grandchildren.

changed to Dec. 12

meeting has been rescheduled to
Dec. 12 at 7:30 p.m.
The meeting will be held at the
Perry Municipal Courtroom at
