from the University of Georgia
with a bachelor of science degree
in agricultural technology man
agement. He is currently
employed with Five Oaks Fence,
Inc., in Alpharetta.

at Salem United Methodist Church
in Covington.

Preacher’s Pie
1 - 8 oz. brick of cream cheese
1 - 3 oz. brick of cream cheese
1/2 box of XXXX powdered
sugar
1 pkg. whipped topping
1/4 tsp. vanilla flavor
1 can blueberry or cherry pie
filling
2 pie crusts
Chopped pecans
Thaw pie crust. When
thawed, press chopped pecans
in crust. Put in oven. Cook until
the crust is golden brown. Let
cool.
Mix 8 oz. and 3 oz. cream
cheese and powdered sugar
until well blended. Set aside.
Go by direction on whipped
topping. Mix topping until it
peaks. Add the cream cheese
mixture to the whipped top
ping.
Mix until well blended. Pour
into crust. Spread pie filling
over the top. Let chill for at
least 2 hours. Makes 2 pies.
Christmas Cookies
1 cup brown sugar
3 well beaten eggs
3/4 lb. seedless raisins, white
3 cups flour
I tsp. cinnamon
1 cup butter
1/2 cup milk
6 slices glazed pineapple, white
6 slices glazed pineapple, red

SPREADING CHEER Parents and students of Perry
Headstart gathered at New Perry Nursing Home recently
to present a holiday program and give goodies for resi
dents of that facility.
1 cup red cherries, glazed
1 cup green cherries, glazed
7 cups pecans, cut up in large
pieces
Cream butter, sugar, add
eggs and other ingredients.
Bake on greased pan in 300
degree oven 20 tO 30 minutes.
Cut in squares. Cool.
Pecan Pie
1/4 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup white com syrup
3 eggs
1 cup nuts (chopped)
Mix above ingredients and
pour into unbaked pie crust.
Cook in 350 degree oven until
crust is brown. Turn oven down
to 250 degrees and cook for 30
to 45 minutes.
Banana Split Pie
1 cup sugar
1 8 oz. brick of cream cheese
5 tblsp. milk
2 bananas
1 small can crushed pineapple
Whipped topping
Nuts (chopped)
Cherries
Prepared crust (plain or gra
ham cracker)
Mix cream cheese, sugar and
milk together and pour into bot
tom or prepared crust. Slice
bananas on top of mixture. Pour
drained pineapple on top of
that. Spread top with whipped
topping and garnish with nuts
and cherries. Let chill.
