Notice of Public Hearing
On Monday, January 6, 1997 at 7:30
p.m. in the courtroom or the State Court of
Houston County, 200 Carl Vinson
Parkway, Warner Robins, the Houston
County Board of Commissioners, the
Mayor and Council of the City of Warner
Robins and the Mayor and Council of the
City of Perry will hold a joint public hear
ing concerning potential adverse sec
ondary effects caused by adult entertain
ment establishments. The bodies will con
sider the secondary effects, if any, of such
increased incidents of crime or decreased
surrounding property values as are or may
be related to such establishments. The
bodies will also hear evidence concerning
the experience of other communities with
adult entertainment establishments.
The purpose of this hearing is for. the
respective bodies to consider whether, in
the interest of the health, safety and wel
fare of the citizens of Houston County and
the Cities of Warner Robins and Perry, it is
necessary or desirable to adopt or amend
local legislation concerning the location
and/or regulation of adult entertainment
establishments.
The public is invited to attend and be
heard at this hearing. Any member of the
public may address the bodies regarding
this issue. Persons desiring to speak may
be asked to limit their remarks in order to
allow all persons so desiring the opportu
nity to speak.
