Sorelle Club members report recent
The members of the Sorelle
Club have had more fun than busi
ness during the last couple of
months.
On Dec. Is, members were
entertained with a Christmas
brunch at the home of Mrs. Jean
Gilbert, with other hostesses: Mrs.
Chris Lewis, Mrs. Betty Gray,
Mrs. Mary Tolleson, and Mrs
Elizabeth Talton.
After the brunch, Christmas
gifts were exchanged and each
member was given a poinsettia by
the hostesses. Twenty-four mem
bers were present.
The new year is beginning with
the first meeting of 1997 being
held at the Holiday Inn with lunch
being served there.
Hostesses for this meeting are:
Mrs. Louise Turner, Mrs Marian
Whitehurst, Mrs. Alene Ursrey,
and Mrs. Ann Smith..

The annual Rehoboth Baptist
Association Wild Game Dinner
will be held at the Agricenter on
Feb. 6. Guest speaker will be John
Smoltz, pitcher for the Atlanta
Braves.

Division 25 Kiwanis Rally
Banquet will be held at 7 p.m. on
Feb. 8 at the New Perry Hotel.
Perry Kiwanis is the host club
Kiwanis Mid-Winter Training
will be held Feb. 15 in Americus.

to Helen and Lane Harris of
Perry upon the celebration of their
50th wedding anniversary. Their
children surprised them with a
party at their home on Dec. 22.
Lane is a retiree from Medusa
Cement Cos. and his wife, the for
mer Helen McEarchen is a home
maker. Their children are Wayne,
Steve and David Harris, all of
Perry. They have eight grandchil
dren.
