Kiwanians to
host annual
talent night

The Perry Kiwanis Club will
sponsor its annual Talent
Showcase Feb. 13, at 7 p.m., at the
Perry High School Auditorium.
Kiwanis leaders bill the Talent
Showcase as an opportunity for
students in Houston County to
develop and exhibit their talents in
a competitive atmosphere, with
trophies and cash prizes awarded.
Contestants for the Talent
Showcase will be divided into
three divisions: Class A- 10th
through 12th graders; Class B -
7th through 9th graders; and Class
C - Ist through Bth graders. Acts
will be grouped according to the
grade of its oldest member.
A Kiwanis spokesman said tro
phies will be awarded for first,
second and third place in each
division. Cash prizes will also be
awarded in each division: first
place, $100; second place, SSO;
and third place, $25.
Tryouts for the Talent
Showcase will be held Feb. 6 at
the Perry High School
Auditorium, beginning at 4 p.m.
with Class B and C contestants,
and Class A contestants at 6 p.m.
Rehearsals will be held Feb. 11, at
4 p.m.
The deadline for applications is
Feb. 3. Applications are available
at all school offices. For further

BEST LOOKING BUSINESS Diversified Machine Systems, which locat
ed in the Perry Allied Business Park off Valley Drive Extension, has been
selected as the Business of the Month by tne Perry Clean Community
Commission. The award is presented to businesses which serve as an
example to others because of the effort they place in landscaping a busi
ness property. The company held a grand opening about three months
ago.
