R & R Systems
Inc. Georgias top
Primestar dealer
Special to the Times-Journal
R & R Systems., Inc., based in
Perry, has been honored with the
1996 Primestar Independent Dealer
of the Year Award.
Bobby Harrison, president of R. &
R Systems, Inc., received the award
from Cox Communications at their
1997 dealer kickoff meeting held on
Jan. 9 at Cox Communications cor
porate office in Macon.
R & R Systems represents Cox
Communications in the sales and
installation of their Primestar mini
dish satellite system in 46 mid-state
Georgia counties, Harrison said.
R & R Systems has a similar
relationship with Tele
communications, Inc. (TCI) where
the company markets Primestar
satellite systems in about 100 other
Georgia counties.
Harrison said R & R Systems
led all dealers for new sales and
installations of Primestar systems
in Georgia for 1996.
Harrison said his company began
selling the Primestar product in the
fall of 1994 shortly after Primestar
went to their new digital format.
“Prior to that time, we primarily
sold C-band satellite systems which
offered our customers more channel
capacity than Primestar could offer.
Primestar’s conversion from analog
to digicipher technology enables
Primestar to greatly expand their
programming capacity and to broad
cast those channels in digital quality
audio and video,” Harrison said.
