Local motor coach group plans May rally

The recently-formed Perry chapter of the Family
Motor Coach Association will be holding its first
rally in May.
That is what acting director for the Perry
Convention and Visitors Bureau Jenny Andrew told
bureau members during their Jan. 23 meeting.
About 300 participants are expected to attend the
rally that is slated to be held at the Georgia National
Fairgrounds and Agricenter, Andrew said.
In other matters, Andrew told the group that a hos
pitality function will be held Feb. 26 at the Holiday
Inn.

area” said Howard.

Andrew said she thinks such meetings are impor
tant for the different groups. This will give members
an opportunity to be better informed about what is
going on in other areas of the community, she added.
Andrew also informed members that:
•About 500 hotel rooms have been booked in
Perry for the upcoming Georgia Young Farmers
meeting scheduled to be held at the Agricenter Jan.
31 -Feb. 1.
•The Southeastern Sound Challenge will once
again be holding a meet in Perry at the Agricenter in
June.
•Another large event at the Agricenter will be the
American Jr. Angus show July 13-19.
