Flint EMC
to award
scholarships

Flint EMC is looking for five
young people in the Flint service
area to compete for the Walter
Harrison Scholarship.
Each year the scholarship is
awarded to three or four outstand
ing students from around the
state. An award of SI,OOO can be
used at any college or technical
school in the state.
Flint EMC officials can submit
up to five names. These students
need to be high school seniors
who are planning to attend a col
lege or technical school in the
state of Georgia.

rules may be obtained from Flint
EMC by contacting Walker Fricks

McKinney Grant at 912-988-
3566.
All entries must be received by
Flint EMC on or before Feb. 28.

Felicia M. Anderson has been rec
ognized for demonstrating
Outstanding Academic
Achievement by earning a 3.2
grade point average during the
1996 fall quarter.
When she was a freshman in
fall of 1995, her grade point aver
age was 3.0, officials said.
She is the daughter of Essie
and James Anderson of Perry.
