brating its twentieth anniversary
“Our patrons have made us feel
like a special part of the communi
ty throughout the past 20 years.
We have enjoyed serving the Perry
area,” said Kendall Wilson, dis
trict manager for Shoney’s
Restaurants.
Shoney’s is known for their all
your-care-to-eat breakfast bar and
fresh soup, salad and fruit bar,
serves up classic American food
with a great selection of quality
entrees including steaks, seafood
and chicken.
Shoney’s is a division of
Restaurant Management Services
which owns and operates 117
restaurants in the southeast with
headquarters in Macon and
regional offices in Tampa,
Orlando and Jacksonville, Fla.
The company also recently cel
ebrated the 20th anniversary of
Captain D’s seafood restaurant,
located adjacent to Shoney’s in
Perry.

Georgia Junior National 4-H
Horse Sale will be Feb. 22
From Staff Reports
The 3rd Annual Georgia Junior
National 4-H Horse Benefit Sale
has been set for Feb. 22, during
the Georgia Junior National Horse
Show at the Agricenter in Perry.
The Georgia Farm Bureau
Equine Advisory Committee and
the University of Georgia
Cooperative Extension Service
are seeking donations to make the
sale a success.
Donations of horses (all
breeds, any age, registered or non
registered), tack and equipment
are needed.
“This project is an excellent
way to help fund 4-H horse activ
ities for the young people of our
state and provide funds for much
needed research for the horse
industry in Georgia,” Wayne
Dollar, Georgia Farm Bureau
president, said. “All donations
will be greatly appreciated.”
Proceeds from the sale will be
used to benefit the Georgia 4-H
Horse Program.
