Huff to serve as interim at Houston Lake Baptist
Stair, Community Reports
The Rev. Winfred Huff has
accepted the call from Houston
Lake Baptist Church as Interim
Pastor. He began pulpit duties on
April 13
The Rev. Huff is a native of
Perry and an experienced biovoca
tional minister. He holds an asso
ciate of divinity degree from
Brewton Parker College and has
served middle Georgia churches
since 1978. He currently holds a
position at Robins Air Force Base
and has served with First Baptist
Church in Hayneville.
Huff is serving while a search
committee seeks a replacement for
the Rev. A.C. Truluck, who retired
March 31.

XYZ Spring Fling set at
Perry First Baptist
The XYZ Spring Fling will be
in Pigeon Forge May 15-17. The
club members will travel together
to Pigeon Forge, Tenn.., where
they will go to the Dixie
Stampede, the Lee Greenwood
Show, Christus Gardens, other
area attractions, and shopping in
Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.
There will be lots of fun for every
one.
Cost is $235 per person, double
occupancy, and $275 for a single.
The balance is due on April 15.
This price includes hotel, two con
tinental breakfasts, two dinners
and all shows. Sign up by calling

come by the office. There is still
room for more to sign up.

Offering goal for First Baptist
Church was $8,500.00; received to
date: $10,074.01. The van goal is
$21,000.00; given to date:
$16,841.90. The transportation is
needed for the church’s summer
activities. The church hopes to
have the van paid for and sitting in
the church parking lot by June.
