Effective July 1, 1995, public notice
advertising rates in the state of Georgia
for foreclosure ads and other non-speci
fied legal advertisements are $lO per
100 words or fraction thereof for the first
four insertions and $9 per 100 words or
fraction thereof for more than 4 insertions.

Watson Boulevard, Warner Robins,
Georgia Engineering Department
Conference Room at 2.00 p.m. legally
prevailing time on May 15, 1997, for the
construction of "Root Replacement for
Houston Health Pavilion", Warner Robins,
Georgia. Each proposal will be publicly
opened and read.
Bid Documents for a Stipulated
Price/Sum contract may be obtained dur
ing the Mandatory Pre&id Conference at
the Houston Health Pavilion 235 N.
Houston Road, Warner Robins, at 10:00
a.m. May 7, 1997, upon receipt of a
refundable deposit, by certified check, in
the amount of SSO for two sets. The full
amount of the deposit for two (2) sets will
be refunded to each General Contractor
who submits a bona fide bid upon return
of such sets in good condition within 30
days after date of openings of bids. The
full amount for two (2) sets will be refund
ed to each major supplier and subcon
tractor upon return or such sets in good
condition within 30 days after date or bid

the Georgia Highway 247 Water System
Improvements will be received in the
Commissioners Board Room, Houston
County Annex, 200 Carl Vinson Parkway
in Warner Robins, Georgia until 10:30
a.m. o'clock legal prevailing time on
Wsdnesday, May 14, 1997, at which
time and place they will be publicly
opened ana read aloud. No bid may be
withdrawn after the closing time for the
receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60)
calendar days.
The work to be done consists of fur
nishing all materials and equipment and
performing all labor necessary to con
struct approximately ± 24,000 linear feet
of. water main and all incidental work
required for a complete installation.
The work will be awarded in one con
tract.
Plans, Specifications and Contract
Documents are on file and may be

upon deposit of $ 100 per set (non-refund

Payment of the Contract Amount will
be made on a periodic basis on applica
tions for payment from the Contractor and
approved by the Engineer based on work
accomplished, products furnished and
products stored at the site. Such progress
payment requests should be submitted by
the Contractor no later than the 25th day
of each month during the term of the
Contract and shall be paid by the Owner
within thirty (30) days after receipt of
approved progress payment requests, less
retainage and other deductions provided
in the Contract Documents. Further details
concerning the payment provisions of the
Contract are contained in Article 14 of the
General Conditions of the Contract
Documents.
Licensing: Bidders must be licensed
utility contractors in accordance with the
State of Georgia Guidelines and a license
number must be placed on the exterior of
the sealed envelope and on the bid docu
ments where indicated. Sealed envelopes
without license numbers will not be
opened.
Bonds: AH bids must be accompanied
by a Bid Bond in an amount not less than
ten percent (10%) of the amount bid. The
Successful Bidder, if awarded the
Contract, will be required to furnish a
Performance Bond and Payment Bond,
each in the amount of one hundred per
cent (100%) of the Contract amount.
The Owner reserves the right to reject
any or all bids, to waive informalities, and
to readvertise.
