Prayer Day breakfast at Holiday Inn

The public is invited to a
Community Prayer Breakfast at 7
a.m. May 1, at the Holiday Inn of
Perry, sponsored by the Perry
Ministerial Association.
The breakfast will be dutch
treat and will consist of the break
fast bar, drink, and the gratuity for
$6.37 per person.
If you plan to attend, let your
church know in order that a head
count can be made of those inter
ested in attending.

Delashmit’s life of crime con
tinued until 1970, when he accept
ed Christ as his Savior.
Within a month of his conver
sion, he preached his first sermon.
He then blazed through Bible col
lege as fast as he could. He then
went into evangelism full time for
one year, then pastored at Faith
Baptist Church in Posen, Illinois
for 12 years. He then returned to
full-time evangelism.

Bicycle race is May 3

The Perry Police Department
D.A.R.E. Bicycle Race is set for 10
a.m. May 3 at the Georgia National
Fairgrounds and Agricenter, accord
ing to D A.R.E. Officer Bill
Hathcock.
This is an event for sth grade boys
and girls with students from
Momingside Elementary, Perry
Elementary and Westfield competing.
Contestants must bring their own
bicycles and hejmets, said Hathcock.
There will be first, second, and
third place winners in boys and girls
events with trophies for winners.
Finalists will be competing May
17 in another race that will decide
“the fastest fifth grade boy and girl in
Perry,” said Hathcock.
First place prize for the May 17
race will be an 18-speed mountain
bike.
The event will begin at the new
parking lot at the North Entrance of
the Agricenter.
The ,3-mile event is sponsored by
the Perry Police Department,
Quincy’s of Perry and Chick-Fil-A.
