Notice to the Public
You are hereby notified that on the
12th day of May, 1997, at 8:45 A ,M.,
at the Houston County Courthouse in
Perry, Georgia, the Judge of the Superior
Court of Houston County will hear the
case of the State of Georgia. Plaintiff v
Development Authority of Houston County
and American Real Estate Investment
Company, Ltd Defendants, Civil Action
File No 97-V-5806-N, in the Superior
Court of Houston County, the same being
a proceeding to confirm and validate an
issue of Development Authority of
Houston County Taxable Industrial
Development Revenue Bonds (American
Real Estate Investment Company, Ltd.
Project), Series 1997 (the "Bonds"), in the
aggregate principal amount of not to
exceed $12,000,000. The Bonds are to
be issued by the Development Authority
of Houston County (the "Issuer") for the
purpose of financing, in whole or in part,
the cost of acquiring, constructing and
installing a certain "Project" in Houston
County, Georgia for American Real Estate
Investment Company, Ltd., a Georgia lim
ited partnership (the "Lessee"), including
the acquisition of certain real estate (the
"Leased Land"), the acquisition, construc
tion and installation of certain building
and structures thereon (the "Building")
and the acquisition, construction and
installation of certain fixtures and related
real property therein (the "Fixtures") (col
lectively, the "Project"), in order to encour
age and promote the expansion and
development of a manufacturing facility in
Houston County, Georgia. Said Project
will be leased by the Issuer to the Lessee
pursuant to a Lease Agreement, dated as
of April 1, 1997. In said proceeding the
Court will also pass upon the validity of
said Lease Agreement, an Indenture of
Trust, a Bond Purchase Agreement and a
Guaranty Agreement in connection there
with any citizen of the State of Georgia
residing in Houston County, Georgia, or
any other person wherever residing who
has a right to object, may intervene and
become a party to this proceeding. This

years in various jobs with

Engineering Services. He
coached baseball and
basketball for 10 years.
Beverly Hardy, also a
graduate of Perry High,
attended Mercer. She
spent 16 years as a secre
tary and administrative
assistant, and has a
lengthy list of volunteer
accomplishments includ
ing serving on PTA
boards, as a team mom,
Bible study teacher and as
an organizer of neighbor
hood watch groups. She
teaches Sunday school at
Perry First Baptist Church.
The couple has been mar
ried 31 years and have
two children. They are
members of the Perry
Board of Realtors. Thev

the Houston County Drug Action Council during regular
session of Warner Robins city council 7. Program
director Mia Brown said Serna works with the Rape
Crisis department for the Perry area. She described
Serna as having a "heart of gold."
