Hornets warm
up for region
golf tourney

The Westfield Hornets golf
team got in final preparations for
the upcoming defense of their
region 1-AAA and state champi
onships in Georgia Independent
School Association golf.
On April 23, the Hornets shot a
307 at Americas Country Club,
three shots behind winner
Southland. Stratford finished at
335.
Southland’s Brian Hawver shot
a 70 for medalist honors. Robert
Harrison had a 74 for the Hornets,
as did Wes Coody. Andy Conrad
shot 79 and Matt Moore 80 for
Westfield.
On April 25, the Hornets
golfers squeaked past Tattnall
Square in a match played at
Houston Lake Country Club,
though Tattnall was the home
team. Westfieldwon the match
326-327 behind Andy Conrad’s

Tournament, Chip Davis and Meyur Vashi, No. 1 Boy's
Doubles on the Westfield Hornet's Tennis Team, qualified
to play in the GISA State Tournament by beating the First
Presbyterian Team of William Ennis ana Carson Royal in
a 3-set match with a score of 5-7, 7-5, 6-4. They played
against the Region 4, No. 1 Athens Christian doubles
team of Cassidy Bray and Adam Parker in the State GISA
Tournament held April 22 at John Drew Tennis Center in
Macon where they were defeated 4-6, 0-6. They are
shown here with Westfield tennis coach, Janice O'Toole.
